What you need to know about the new Mizuno Pro irons for 2026
A new year brings with it exciting innovations from the world's leading golf club manufacturers, and when it comes to crafting the finest irons on the market, there is no one that does it quite like Mizuno.
The legendary Japanese brand has added to its acclaimed Mizuno Pro range by revealing the Mizuno Pro M-13 and M-15, which are part of the newly created Modern Series, alongside the exceptional Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi utility long iron.
Golfshake's Equipment Expert, Ryan Rastall has tested and reviewed the M-13 and M-15 for us, which can see below or by watching directly on YouTube.
But what do you need to know about these supreme pieces of golfing technology?
Introducing Mizuno's New Modern Series
Serving as a companion to the Signature Series (S-1 and S-3), the Modern Series is yet another step forward in the world of forged design and performance. These irons have been engineered to satisfy those golfers who are searching for a little more speed, forgiveness and playability in their game.
Featuring that unmistakable Mizuno Pro shaping and feel, these two models have each been created with a specific type of player in mind. The M-13 delivers a faster, more consistent flight profile in tour-preferred proportions, while the M-15 presents higher launch and added forgiveness. However, what unites both of them is that they retain the craftsmanship that you would expect from a Mizuno Pro iron.
Who Are Mizuno's New M-13 Irons Designed For?

The M-13 is a successor to the Mizuno Pro 243 and it combines traditional head shaping with modern construction to give you more speed through the longer irons and extra precision from those scoring clubs.
But how has this been achieved? It's courtesy of a three-part forging process. Starting with the 4 and 5 irons, a Pocket Cavity Grain Flow Forged construction merges Chromoly 4120 with 431 stainless steel, making Mizuno’s thinnest ever Contour Ellipse Face, at just 1.37mm thick, with this being around 35% thinner than the Mizuno Pro 243. This innovation releases higher ball speeds and distance while keeping the responsive feedback expected from a forged iron.
We then take you into the 6, 7 and 8 irons, where a Micro-Slot Grain Flow Forged construction with a face 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor increases flex and delivers controlled speed gains. Looking at those shorter clubs, from 9-iron through to gap wedge, a single-piece 1025 Elite forging heightens precision, control, and the renowned soft impact feel that have made the manufacturer's short irons special for generations.
You anticipate that Mizuno's irons look aesthetically pleasing and that is exactly the case here. Harmonic Impact Technology, aligned with a copper underlay and full cavity ABS badge, has fine-tuned vibration patterns to present a clean, tour-ready appearance. The Triple Cut Sole has introduced sharper leading edges and bevelled trailing relief, which means that there is dependable turf interaction from every lie. Reducing glare, a Nickel Chrome Satin Brush finish completes the design.
What Makes Mizuno's New M-15 Irons Special

Being the designated successor to the Mizuno Pro 245, the M-15 has been expertly crafted to offer a smooth transition in both shape and feel throughout the set from long iron to wedge.
The centrepiece of the design is the Contoured Ellipse Face, the latest stage of Mizuno’s CORTECH technology, which is the highlight of the 4 to 8 irons. You can benefit from multi-thickness forged construction, supported by a hollow body design, which optimises ball speed and adds consistency while preserving the soft, responsive feel that golfers cherish.
Improving the launch and stability of the irons, tungsten weighting of 51g in the long irons and 50.3g in the mid irons has been strategically suspended within the head, which helps to encourage a straighter flight and greater forgiveness. The long and mid irons pair a Grain Flow Forged 4135+ Chromoly face and neck with a stainless-steel back piece for additional rebound, while the 9-iron to gap wedge transitions into a partial hollow 1025E Grain Flow Forged HD body with a stainless back, a construction process that places an emphasis on control, precision and manoeuvrability.
Maintaining consistency in all manner of conditions, a refined sole geometry with added bounce encourages a cleaner entry and smoother exit through the turf. Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology and copper underlay reduce sound pressure around the 6kHz frequency, producing the soft yet solid strike that Mizuno is recognised for, with the M-15 being finished in Premium Nickel Chrome Satin for a contemporary look.
The M-13 and M-15 mark the start of the Mizuno Pro Modern Series. While the Signature Series continues Mizuno’s most traditional tour iron lineage, the Modern Series introduces new-generation in terms of supporting better speed, stability and shot-height control, all within the classic, compact style that is endorsed by elite players. What this means is a clearer, more refined Mizuno Pro structure.
This is What You Need to Know About Mizuno's Pro Fli-Hi Utility Iron

Further enhancing the Mizuno Pro range, there is a new utility iron in the form of Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi, which has been released to provide golfers with reliably faster ball speeds, higher launch, and refined workability in a pleasingly compact shape.
What you should know is that Fli-Hi is Mizuno’s most advanced face construction to date. The Contoured Ellipse CORTECH design expands the effective hitting area by 37%, which means faster ball speeds and consistent performance across more of the face. Speaking of which, this multi-thickness face, optimised through detailed CAE analysis (Computer-Aided Engineering), further enhances peak COR to provide explosive distance without sacrificing control.
In an effort to improve launch conditions, Mizuno has strategically positioned 26 grams of tungsten low and deep within the head. This weighting placement not only raises the peak trajectory but also adds greater stability and forgiveness. When you combine that with Mizuno’s innovative L-Face geometry, a breakthrough welding technique that increases sole flex, you have a thinner topline that retains strength while generating additional speed at impact.
Feel is everything here and Fli-Hi benefits from Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology, with carefully engineered internal ribs that fine-tune vibration frequencies to deliver a solid impact sensation. This matches Mizuno’s previous Fli-Hi models, meaning that there is a continuity of feel while offering subtle refinements demanded by the best players in the world.
Fli-Hi is also the first Mizuno iron to utilise Nickel Chromoly 4335+ Hollow Body technology. The ultra-high-strength, heat-treated face delivers explosive ball speeds, while the softer untreated body provides adaptability in loft and lie adjustments, meaning that fitters can dial in performance precisely to player preference.
Visually, the Fli-Hi features a new Gun Metal Satin finish that not only looks striking but also reduces glare at address, creating the appearance of a more compact, confidence-inspiring head.
Ultimately, the Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi is the ideal bridge between precision long irons and high-performance hybrids. It has been crafted for players who demand distance and forgiveness without giving up feel, control, or aesthetics. It doesn't get any better than that.
