Watch The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final on Sky Sports Golf

By: Golfshake Editor | Fri 13 Oct 2023

It's almost that time of year when the Challenge Tour reaches its conclusion at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, which will take place at Club de Golf Alcanada and is set to be showcased on our TV screens.

The event, supported by The R&A, will again be held at the acclaimed Mallorca venue from November 2-5 - and thousands of viewers from around the world will be able to follow the action live with some of golf’s most popular TV channels.

UK-based viewers can tune into Sky Sports to find out which 20 hopefuls will earn a life-changing DP World Tour card for next season, while the €500,000 total prize fund means the stakes - and the pressure - are certain to be higher than ever. Meanwhile, coverage in the US will be provided by NBC’s Golf Channel, available in an estimated 61 million American homes.

Players will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of former Challenge Tour graduates including Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick and Tyrell Hatton - members of Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup-winning team - while other stars to cut their teeth on the Challenge Tour include Thomas Bjorn, Martin Kaymer, Edoardo Molinari, Henrik Stenson and Michael Campbell.

This will be the third time Club de Golf Alcanada has played host to the event having previously staged memorable tournaments in 2019 and 2022. Like most courses designed by the prolific Robert Trent Jones Jnr, the picturesque venue - ranked by Top 100 Golf Courses as the best layout in the Balearic Islands - is well-suited for television, boasting sweeping views of the Mallorca coast and iconic Alcanada lighthouse as the dramatic course meanders down to the shore.

Challenge Tour Grand Final

This year’s event will also bring the curtain down on the 20th anniversary of Club de Golf Alcanada’s storied opening in 2003, and the last two decades have seen the club earn a reputation as a stern test for any level of player. A challenging par-72 course that rewards strategic play, there can be no doubt that Trent Jones Jnr has designed a course befitting of one of golf’s toughest tournaments.

Kristoff Both, director of golf at Club de Golf Alcanada, said: “We’re thrilled that this year’s edition of the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A will be broadcast live on TV again.

“While our focus remains on working closely with the Challenge Tour to stage the best final yet, we welcome the opportunity to showcase our course and this beautiful part of Mallorca to viewers across the world.”

Meanwhile, fans still have the opportunity to witness the action in person, and free spectator tickets are still available. With attendees well aware that they could be watching future Ryder Cup stars and major winners tee off, the atmosphere promises to be electric.
