Leading Brands Partner With Trilby Tour Ahead of Return

By: Golfshake Editor | Wed 16 Mar 2022

Ahead of the exciting return of the Trilby Tour under new owners Darwin Escapes, several leading brands have declared their support through partnerships; Glenmuir, Motocaddy and Duca del Cosma.

The agreements will see each partner brand providing prize incentives for the new-look Trilby Tour, which is returning to Sky Sports in 2022 and will see female amateurs dueling for the prize pots for the first time in the tour’s history.

The prize value across the series, which culminates in The Grand Final at Dundonald Links in September, has increased to £10,000 following these partnerships.

All championship competitors will receive a Glenmuir shirt, while championship winners receive a pair of Duca del Cosma shoes, a brand-new Motocaddy S1 electric trolley and a Glenmuir top-to-toe outfit.

The winner of the Grand Final will also be fully kitted out by Glenmuir along with a Sunderland Golf Waterproof suit and weather wear, and receive two pairs of Duca del Cosma shoes - on and off course models - with Cabretta gloves, plus a Motocaddy M5 GPS electric trolley with a Pro-Series cart bag and a Pro 3000 Laser Rangefinder. There will also be a Motocaddy PRO 3000 on offer at each event for the nearest-to-the-pin competition.

A total of 60 players from the championship qualifiers will fight it out at The Grand Final where the overall winner will be crowned Trilby Tour Champion 2022.

Trilby Tour Partners

Ashley Pheasant, Head of Golf for Darwin Escapes, commented: “We are delighted to announce these partnerships with Glenmuir, Motocaddy & Duca del Cosma. They are some of the biggest names in the business and are massively supportive of the new-look Tour.

“Their involvement represents the general importance of the Trilby Tour and we can’t wait to get to the first event so we can start testing the players.”

Since launching its new website and booking platform in February, the Trilby Tour has seen a huge surge in interest and bookings for its 2022 Championships, as players and sponsors alike get ready to participate in one of the UK’s best-known amateur golf tours.

Mikhel Ruia, managing director of Glenmuir & Sunderland of Scotland said: “The team at Darwin Escapes have been great partners of ours and we are delighted to be extending our partnership with them, helping to make a success of the iconic Trilby Tour.”

UK & Ireland managing director of Duca del Cosma Leslie Hepworth, said: "Duca del Cosma is thrilled to be associated with the new-look Trilby Tour, especially as it now features men and women golfers who we increasingly cater for with our premium collections of high-quality, handcrafted leather golf shoes.”

Oliver Churcher, marketing director of Motocaddy, commented: "Motocaddy is delighted to be partnering with the revamped and rejuvenated Trilby Tour, one of the best amateur Tours in the country.

“We've got some great prizes on offer for the Tour events as an added incentive to qualifying for the Grand Final, where the prizes get even bigger, and we look forward to seeing the action unfold on Sky Sports."
