adidas Adicross Range Returns for 2019

By: | Thu 06 Dec 2018

It’s that time of year when all of the biggest brands in golf begin to announce what they have in store for us with their 2019 ranges. In terms of apparel, the popularity of gear that is suitable for the course as well as away from it is certainly increasing. PUMA have recently revealed their SS19 range and adidas have also unveiled their Adicross 2019 Collection, both of which provide golfers with kit that’s great for golf and elsewhere.

The first thing to note about adidas’ range is the use of their Primeknit material in several products. Many of you will know that the German brand have received a lot of praise for the way they have used the material in various sporting products, and now that it is being used in golf, you can praise them, too! It is made seamlessly which ensures that the clothing sits closer to and flatter on the skin, which in an age of such well-fitted clothing is a welcome move from adidas. Three primary items that the Primeknit material features in are a Polo, Sweatshirt and Hoodie.

Of course, adidas are pretty slick when it comes to producing brilliant shoes, too. The range includes the next generation of the Crossfit shoe and a new addition in the form of the Adicross PPF.

The Crossfit 3.0 (pictured above), is the latest in a series of spikeless golf shoes that are designed in such a way that they can easily be worn on and off the course. The 3.0 features reflective laces, internal lace loops and a lace closure, all of which make the shoe look really stylish. They are once again built on the same last as the Ultraboost trainer and this makes for a seriously comfy feeling underfoot. Built with a textile upper, the shoe should help to keep you dry through the spring showers as this makes the shoe water repellent. Finally, you’ll be able to get your hands on these shoes from the 1st February 2019 in three different colourways.

As for the new kid on the block, the Adicross PPF, this is designed to give golfers yet another option when it comes to selecting a shoe suitable for golf and leisure. The sole has 169 lugs to ensure that grip isn’t compromised and this shoe is also water repellent. Again, this is available in February but will have a slightly lower price point than the Crossfit 3.0.
