Golfshake Launches Video Hub

Having seen a dramatic increase in video views throughout 2016, Golfshake has unveiled its very own dedicated Video Hub, which is set to provide a ready-made platform for users to access the latest and best content on their desktop, tablet or smartphone device.

With more than 800,000 videos viewed across the Golfshake network, visitors have been particularly drawn to the tuition section, which has enjoyed sharp growth of 111% when compared to the previous period. Golfers are taking advantage of this content while using the online scoretracking system to record their rounds and statistics, looking to improve their own games.

“Golfers are using the Golfshake Android and iPhone app to record their stats on the course or post round in the clubhouse and then using scoretracker functionality on Golfshake.com to identify strengths and weaknesses” said Owen Davies. “At Golfshake we are passionate about improving golfers’ games and have invested substantially in expanding our video library of tuition content in the past couple of years. Golfshake members are now enjoying the benefits of this and watching videos to address weaknesses in their game”

The tuition section has proven to be extraordinarily popular, but the equipment section that features reviews and content based around the latest releases, has also experienced an increase that further underlines the changing habits of users, with technology such as smartphones and enhanced internet speeds allowing for a higher quality experience when it comes to viewing online video.

Evidence for this shift in pattern was seen in a recent Golfshake survey, which found that 96% of 18-50-year-old responders owned a smartphone and used that device to consume content. Videos on Golfshake viewed via those devices accounts for 80% of the overall total, which has carried the recent momentum of traffic being driven through mobile devices.

Consequently, the layout of the new Golfshake Video Hub has been designed to enhance the user experience of smartphone and tablet users. With more investment planned in the tuition section and scoretracker software with new updates due to the app and online system in the new year, there has never been a better time to engage with the content and service on offer.
