Play in the Sky Sports European Father and Son Golf Championship

Would you make a good partnership with your son or dad? If so, then you have the chance to compete in the European Father & Son Golf Championship at the stunning Costa Ballena & Sherry Golf Resorts Cadiz in sunny Andalucia, with the event coming to Spain on the 24th to 29th of October.

Last years championship saw thrilling finale, where Gary and Justin Milner, two British golfers based Germany, won the scratch trophy to be crowned Kings of Europe, while three time winners David and George Mills from Sussex won the Handicap trophy.

Father and Son teams come from all over the world, including the US and Australian champions. The event is a fun packed golf holiday package, which the competitors and their families will never forget. Televised on Sky Sports, it resembles a proper tour event.. There are scoreboards, referees, announcers, press, caddies, volunteers, spectators, a tournament condition course, competitions, prizes and entertainment. The week is concluded with a banquet gala dinner, and is one big holiday celebration of golf, competition, sunshine, fun, friends and family.

The final will be played over two excellent championship courses. Costa Ballena is 18 hole par 72, 6,700 yard layout located next to the beach designed by Jose Maria Olazabal. The course is flat with small undulating greens testing approach shot accuracy, and it also has possibly Europe’s largest and best practice facilities. Sherry golf is inland just outside the city of Jerez and is a gently undulating Par 72, 7100, yard track set in rolling green countryside. This is a great course that will test all the players. It has previously held the Spanish Mens Amateur Golf Championship. The mix of courses will offer the competitors an exciting contrast. Please note ALL competitors will play from the same tees.

The entry includes a five night package holiday staying at the 4* Hotel Elba Costa Ballena Golf & Thalasso Spa Resort, situated next to the beach and Costa Ballena golf course. The hotel boasts a large bar with live music, an outdoor and indoor pool with Thalasso spa and games room.
