Lough Erne-a beauty waiting to be finished
Lough Erne is in a wonderful setting with loads of land and trees and indeed plenty water but there is something lacking in this course. It feels as if they ran out of money or don’t have the income to maintain it at a level that would be fitting for this course. The Par 3 index 18 is one of the toughest Index 18s anywhere and if you don’t hit the green you are unlikely to get a Par. A good challenge and my second time playing it in 3 days.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 97 Handicap: 23.2)

Lough Erne Gem
Mr Faldo has put together an absolutely spectacular golf course at Lough Erne. The layout is tremendous, views are amazing, and holes are challenging, with a handful of exciting risk/ reward holes. Some of the par 3s are short, but not easy to play. Again folks, choose your tees carefully, this will enhance a great days golf.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: )

Good Layout. Shame about the greens

This was my thrid time playing Lough Erne in the last 12 months and each time I play, i'm amazed with the attention to detail the staff have to ensure your round is memorable. Nothing ever seems to much. We had breakfast in the main hotel included in the round which set us up nicely for the 18 holes. The tees, greens and bunkers all were perfectly manicured. Fairways were for the most part firm, with a few damp patches but considering we were playing a course in Ireland in March, this was not an issue!

Great round of golf, with some pretty memorable view over the Lough/course, my personal favourite see a friend cutting a bedraggled silhouette against the Lough #ShireJugX

The only negative is the time it takes circa 1.5hr to get here from Belfast - that said its worth the Journey - many Golfers tend to visit Scotland and ignore NI. Having done St Andrews , Gleneagles, Turnberry etc I can honestly say a trip to NI to take in lough erne and royal portrush is on par! A good night out can be had in nearby Eniskillen and the whole place is simply breathtaking Excellent!!!

A much-hyped course which finally opened summer of 2009. Managed to play in November, and despite a soaking for the first 9 holes really enjoyed it and would go back (although I wouldn't pay full summer price). Lots of water (almost always on the right hand side so if you've a slice, bring plenty of ammo) but not too many places where you have to carry it a long way, and with a range of tees it makes this playable for all levels of golfer. The course was in fantastic condition given the amount of rain there'd been. Hard to choose between here and Concra Wood as to which is the better course.
