Very expensive compared to other local courses, £10 for 9 holes at the weekend with no concession makes it more expensive for me and my son than both Langlands and Torrance house, both excellent 18 hole courses only a few miles away. The course itself is a very young but challenging course. Shame about the prices.

Played course today. Found it pretty tough though i did play terrible so kind of hard to tell. Thought the course had a nice layout with a couple of good holes. The tees fairway and semi rough were all alot longer than they should be and very spongey feeling. Fairways had next to no run and having a good lie was luck. Greens were good condition but possibly slightly slower than average. Not sure if its maybe just from being a reasonably new course but the grass just felt more like u would find in a field rather than a golf course. Also better yardage markers are needed. They are basically hidden and random colours instead of the usual red100 yellow 150 and white200. Ok for a round but if in area id go to playsport every time

A decent enough 9 hole track if you want to hack your way round somewhere different to your usual course but the overall golfing “experience” leaves a lot to be desired. Clubhouse is essentially a Café which the “Starter” is manning as well taking the green fees. Needless to say you get the same sort of service you usually receive when ordering a toastie as you do when paying the rather steep fee to play the course itself – dour and as if it is a hassle that you actually want to play!!

The course itself is fair enough. Quite tough but essentially a well mown couple of fields that a farmer is seeking to utilise to alternative effect other than growing crops etc. I have played here probably about 10 times now and have yet to see a greenkeeper. Played on 20 June 2012 and greens were covered in sand which in the height of the golfing season is not what you expect.

Summary: ok if you fancy a change but there are far superior (and cheaper) 9 hole courses in the local vicinity that will give you a better golfing experience than Broadlees has to offer.
