Played course today. Found it pretty tough though i did play terrible so kind of hard to tell. Thought the course had a nice layout with a couple of good holes. The tees fairway and semi rough were all alot longer than they should be and very spongey feeling. Fairways had next to no run and having a good lie was luck. Greens were good condition but possibly slightly slower than average. Not sure if its maybe just from being a reasonably new course but the grass just felt more like u would find in a field rather than a golf course. Also better yardage markers are needed. They are basically hidden and random colours instead of the usual red100 yellow 150 and white200. Ok for a round but if in area id go to playsport every time

A decent enough 9 hole track if you want to hack your way round somewhere different to your usual course but the overall golfing “experience” leaves a lot to be desired. Clubhouse is essentially a Café which the “Starter” is manning as well taking the green fees. Needless to say you get the same sort of service you usually receive when ordering a toastie as you do when paying the rather steep fee to play the course itself – dour and as if it is a hassle that you actually want to play!!

The course itself is fair enough. Quite tough but essentially a well mown couple of fields that a farmer is seeking to utilise to alternative effect other than growing crops etc. I have played here probably about 10 times now and have yet to see a greenkeeper. Played on 20 June 2012 and greens were covered in sand which in the height of the golfing season is not what you expect.

Summary: ok if you fancy a change but there are far superior (and cheaper) 9 hole courses in the local vicinity that will give you a better golfing experience than Broadlees has to offer.

Good 9holes, very open and windy, good challage with plenty of OB, burns etc , greens were a bit hairy today, but more than playable. 2 reachable 5s, and a long par 4, and the par 3s are great holes.
I shot a 78 (6hcp) . Good value for £19 4/5 for me.

coarse is very new and very open to the elements, the greens were pretty patchy but enjoyed the round and the long par 5 is a challenging hole watch out for the water hazards. staff were very helpfull in booking me a golf outing for 15 people but sad they didnt offer me any discounts for the £400 worth of buisness :-( golf buggies made the day a lot more fun.

Very expensive compared to other local courses, £10 for 9 holes at the weekend with no concession makes it more expensive for me and my son than both Langlands and Torrance house, both excellent 18 hole courses only a few miles away. The course itself is a very young but challenging course. Shame about the prices.

Pleasant little course.
Good mix of par 3s,4s and 5s for a 9 hole course.
Well maintained. Greens quite slow though.

Great course with great greens

Excellent course, shame it had been heavy rain the day before as the fairways were quite spongy and the ball got plugged a few times.

Greens were in good condition despite the weather.

Would definately play again.

Well worth a visit! Fairways could do with a trim as the ball doesn\'t get a lot of run, but the greens are excellent and the course has some challenging holes especially when the wind blows. Have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful!

Lovely course but still challenging with some long par fours. Greens are in tip top condition and there are some nice surprises all the way round. Great for me as a beginner but I believe a better standard of golfer would also find it worthwhile. Staff are friendly and helpful.
