I bought unlimited golf for a day plus bacon roll and tea/coffee for 2 from Groupon for £18. You can't go wrong I thought. Yes you can. The car park is like a quarry. The 'pro shop' is a shed, staffed by a young chap who was more interested in his mobile phone than me. The clubhouse is what I imagine was once a small stately home (St Cleres Hall?) but is now virtually falling down. There was only one member of staff. The poor girl was very polite but was really struggling on her own. The course is in truly horrifying condition. The fairways are like a school playing field, with huge clumps of weeds and uneven surfaces that send your ball in a random direction on impact. The greens are brown, bald, full of holes and weeds and sometimes waterlogged, all at the same time. I kid you not. It is the worst golf course I have ever played by a country mile. It is so bad we only played one round. I would not play it again for free. In fact I wouldn't play it if you paid me £50. Avoid like the plague.

Played in a threesome where the other two had a group on. When we arrived, the guy behind was unhelpful and uninterested in getting us going. The fairways were on the whole average although some resembeled rough. The greens however were awful, although it was the morning after storms and it was damp, the greens looked ragged and churned up on some. For a round of golf and ok looking bacon bagette £9 is reasonable however £20 is over priced for the facilties and service.

Greens were a disgrace, when i mentioned this in the pro shop it might as well been talking to a brick wall! It is one of the dearest pay and plays in the area and it was not worth the money, so I will not be going back. It is a shame as it is quite a good course, nice views and some challenging holes.

An all round good course with well kept fairways and a good level of interesting holes throughout. Greens could be better but excellent value for money.

Really enjoyed the round, quite a challenging course, greens were a slight dissapointment, a little more expensive than other local clubs, but all in all worth that bit extra.

Greens were very slow (needs water), some work needs to be done on the bunkers and greens. other place were loverly , just a few bad spots lets this course down.

course had a nice layout BUT greens were shocking - £9 with a bacon roll and a cuppa off of Groupon - it was worth £9 - any more than that and i would have been very very disappointed
