This course is a real shame. Its a wonderful piece of traditional links land and there are some really challenging holes but I have never seen a course in such bad condition. The bunkers had grass growing in them, the greens looked like they hadn't been cut in weeks, the tees (except the 1st tee) were lie rough and it was often impossible to tell where the fairways were meant to be.
This is the only golf course I have ever walked off after 9 holes, and the clubhouse was deserted so there was nobody to complain to except my playing partner.

This could be very good. It's a great bit if links land and nature has carved some great holes. Problem is that nature does not do course maintenance and as far as I can see nor does anyone else. Tees are like rough as are the fairways , greens didn't seem to have been cut for a week and bunkers have grass growing in them.
The only course I have ever walked off early.

It's like playing golf in a wildlife park - hares the size of young lions and bird life is everywhere. The course is BIG so take lots of ammo. If you get a clear day you can touch Ireland the view is spectacular. This course is 5 star 'tough' so you will use a lot of fairway woods but don't be put off, there is lots of space and evey hole is unique - think Augusta in the Irish sea. Greens are not 100% but they are true links and it will give you some excuses when you add your scores up As for the Gorse 'be afraid be very afraid'. So if you want to play a course that is utterly fantastic and amazing look no further .......and if you then get to the 19th and tell your mates you played it with the same ball all the around then you should be ashamed for telling such whoppers ! Wonderful day out.

This course has got a lot of potential, it is a long course with lots of little hazards to catch out the longer hitters. A little course knowledge is required in areas to hit the right shot to give you a chance of a good score
