Good course

Excellent course, worth visiting
Greens in excellent condition. Beautiful views. Some excellent holes particularly on the back nine.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 16)

This is a great course worth a visit. This course will be enjoyable for every level of golfer with a mixture of generous fairways and large greens. With stunning views over Rutland water, friendly clubhouse and facilities including a 9 hole par 3 course a wonderful day out awaits.

This really is a lovely golf course. Very picturesque over rutland water reservoir with some excellent holes. Have played here a few times before at various times of the year however the course was in very good condition for this time of year. The greens ran true throughout the entire course, the fairways were well maintained. Bunkers were nice, however a lot of compact and hard sand in places (due to being wet)
My ONLY gripe with this course is the green and pin placement on the 6th hole. The green has 2 tiers, with the bottom tier having a run off at the front of the green. Every time I have played here I have never seen the pin on the top tier. The green is such that, particularly during summer, if you land the ball on the top tier or even 15/20 foot past the hole, it is next to impossible to keep the ball on the green and it will run off the front and down the drop off. This green has the potential to be a card ruiner if putting is a weak part of your game. A few times I have been on this green past the hole putting for a birdie, only to end up with a bogey or double due to running the ball off the front of the green. They really need to sort this out!
Otherwise I would highly recommend this course!

Continues to be our go-to course. Great condition given the weather, friendly and supportive pro-shop and great team in the clubhouse. Couldn't ask for more
