What the club says: Known locally as "The Beast", this challenging course features a large number of lakes and bunkers that make each hole a different experience to the next. There are eight dog-legs in total and with testing water hazards coming in to play on nine of the holes, you need to be accurate off the tee if you're to hit the greens in regulation. It is a well-manicured track, with the fairways being in particularly good condition. There are also stunning views across the sea that just add to the beauty of the course.

Fantastic course well worth playing
First time playing Torrequebrada, so impressed. Great set up, friendly welcome by all, starter was a real gent. Good practice facilities. Course in immaculate condition, greens quick an rolled well. Some great looking holes down to the sea. Got to play this course if in the area, you won't be disappointed. Will return for sure.Reviewer Rating

A must play
Very deceptive from the drive to the entrance. Nestled between villas and hotels, it is like going to the theatre and the curtains being opened and you can see everything on stage once you pass the gates. Some spectacular view over the mountains and the sea all lend to this being my favourite golf course I have played in the Mijas region. You won’t be disappointed with any aspect of this (Spanish open) course.Reviewer Rating

Tough and Challenging

Great layout, greens not as good as they have been
We've played here many times and it is a really fun track to play. A real variety of holes, some very playable, others a real challenge, particularly holes, 2, 7, 8, 10 and 16. The best buggies around with GPS screens and immaculate fairways but the greens were not as good as they have been in previous visits. This was disappointing as it is a fairly expensive place to play (over 100 euros standard green fee).Reviewer Rating

Great course, super slow round......
Played here a couple of times. Great course with some wonderful holes. Very slow yesterday. Teed off at 2.40pm and didn't finish till after 8pm! Had to queue on every hole. To add insult to injury when we finished they had closed the clubhouse and so we had no opportunity to get a beer.Reviewer Rating

True Gem
On entering the golf site we were treated to fantastic glimpses of what lay ahead for us. At the clubhouse we sat on the elevated decking veranda overlooking the 18th fairway and green, in awe of what our day ahead looked like. The course Marshall was very helpful and informative too.The course is well designed incorporating a lot of the local features which come into play on most shots. It's certainly designed to rip your game to pieces, but a most enjoyable round of golf was had by all.

Boom
Best round of the year on a hard course. However, the management of our booking was shambolic with zero effort to help and fix their error. 3 x 4 balls out from 10.30 then the 2 ball we had booked as part of the group went out at 12.15 and had to get a taxi back. Shocking service. Saw the drinks buggy once and they had run out of water when we had to chase him to get another drink later. Pace of play was awful. Too many people on the course and too many of a standard that causes slow play. I don't think being off 28 should stop you playing a course as nice as this but it certainly has a massive impact on pace if nothing is done to keep it moving. 5+ hour round in baking sun is not ideal.Reviewer Rating

Torrequabradda had everything I could ask for in a golf course! The staff were very welcoming and the course was in great condition. It was also in a beautiful location in Spain with great weather and amazing views. I was really impressed with the quality of the fairways, greens and course layout. The holes were also very interesting and challenging. Overall, I had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this course to anyone.

Fabulous layout in great condition
I have played Torrequebrada a number of times. It is a fun but challenging layout. The white tees are only for the better golfers. It's not long but the combination of some tight tee shots and some severely slopping greens makes it a real challenge. You have to play well to score well here. I didn't remeber the greens being so severely slopped - they could have been relayed since we were last there - it's like a Spanish Augusta. Great conditioning, lovely fairways and the fastest greens we played on all trip. The only issue was the slow play. 5 hours due to some very slow groups in front who were not really encouraged enough to speed up enough.Reviewer Rating

Extremely well kept course
Lovely course, some great views but not the best in the area. However the course is kept in an immaculate condition. Fairways are spongy and allow for tons of spin (probably the best fairways I've ever played on), greens true and plenty of contours, fast downhill putts. Rounds are relatively expensive (c.?100 pp once buggies paid for) but it does mean the course isn't packed out. Definitely one to play if not played before but wouldn't play every year when over due to relative cost.Reviewer Rating

Great Course

The mist challenging course EVER !!
Don't miss out on playing this beautiful course. A real challenge, with lush fairways, superb but fast greens and some awesome and demanding holes.Very hilly with many dog legs and blind shots but all well worth it.
You won't be disappointed.

Very good corse - due the twilight option
The course is very various and playable. Maybe too much up an down to the hills on the course. Green very difficult due to the pin positions and the greens speed. Course suggested for mid to low handicappers (I'm 18).Reviewer Rating

Interesting but playable layout - almost in greta condition
This was my second visit to Torrequebrada. Two years ago it was very wet and in need of some TLC but significant improvements have been made and it is now (almost) in great condition. There are a couple of holes on both nines that still seem to struggle with drainage but it was much improved. The GPS buggies are a great addition and the course played nicely. The front nine greens were some of the best we played on our golf break but the back nine greens, inexplicably, has been top dressed with sand. Given it was the peak of high season when we played, this seems a bit off. Apart from this, the course was great to play.(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 80 Handicap: 3.5)

Fantastic course in fantastic condition. Greens were great and very challenging. Only downer on the day was somebody in our group had things robbed from bag, apparently it isn't the first time its happened at this course either.

Have played this course many times and it's one of my favourites.

I arrived without booking a Tee time, on the off chance they could fit me in. I was offered a start at the 11th by the starter (Jack) which I gratefully accepted. The course was in excellent condition, greens ran true and fast. Showers are excellent, towels are supplied via the Caddy Master. The food is also above average for golf club cuisine and reasonably priced.

I've played this course many times, not especially well I might add, but I like the course and the staff are friendly and generally its sunny and i've met some nice people on the course, sure you couldn't beat that!

Was told it was worth playing and was not disappointed. They are doing a lot of work to the bunkers at the moment to make the course even better. The fairways were like carpets and the greens were excellent. The course is walkable and I wish I had taken my trolley because a buggy was €30. It had gps on it. So it cost me €120. Range balls are one euro for aprx 20. Course guide was €5. If you go in a bunker you will be plugged. The club house looked nice and it is definately more upmarket than some of the other courses in malaga.
