Great course - really varied holes, amazing greens even in winter, great fairways and friendly clubhouse, good facilities. And I forgot to mention the beautiful views. Must play again.

Excellent course, Breathtaking views, it was VERY wet leading up to our round but the course held up well, only a few boggy parts, greens were in excellent condition considering the amount of rain we had beforehand, will DEFINITLEY go back to this course when i can! very well looked after course. i also imagine the greens will be rather fast in the summer.

Went on a trip to Cardiff to play a few of the courses including P&k, Machynys Peninsular, Celtic Manor (Roman Road) and Woodlake Park with six colleagues and I can honestly say we were all massively disappointed. The club house can be described only as half farm half club house (club house being a building site). As for course the views are very impressive, but views do not make a golf course. Tee's were in a shocking state, bare with little grass and very uneven. Fairways were unkempt and hadn't been cut for some time, none or very little drainage, out of a four ball, three balls hit the fairway on the first hole and all balls were lost as plugged in the unbelievably boggy conditions. Greens were the only good part of the course, fairly quick and undulating but as for the rest of the course very poor. To make things even worse we had a jobs worth of a member come out of the club house when we reached the 10th to ask if we had been given permission to play off the white tee's, the only reason we were playing off the white's was to make it very slightly more interesting, both yellow and white tee's were as bad as each other so god only knows what his problem was. All in all a very disappointing game and rest assured we will not be returning. As mentioned, a golf course is not built purely on some aesthetic views but the whole package, this course had the views and decent greens, that's it.

Was a pleasant surprise when we arrived on a golf society day. Some amazing views across the lake especially from the higher up holes.
Many fairways are tough to play off because of sloping lies. Interesting course with no one hole the same as the next.

This course is absolutely fantastic. The views of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains are stunning! the greens are like grease lightning! fairways are beautifully mowed, and the welsh dragon flags are a great touch. friendly members and good food also

Although only opened in 1993, this course has matured quickly and the quality of both fairways and greens is very high. The greens were all constructed to the USGA specifications and are very true and FAST! It is a tough test for other than the best of players with many fairways sloping steeply and many greens being hard to find/hold. Great views over a large reservoir. Clubhouse is basic but staff/members very friendly.

One of the best golf courses in South Wales, all of the greens are to USGA and run true and are damned quick - you won't play on better greens anywhere.
There are numerous good holes, the most memorable being the tough par-5 11th, the great par-3 16th, and the dog-leg par-4 13th.
I always enjoy my golf on this stunning layout - bar staff are friendly to boot!
