Course with great character

Greens were a bit slow and the course hole directional signs could be better. The whole course was of a very good standard but for 2 temporary greens but 1 they have a great kidney bean shaped green waiting to be opened. There were ponds 1st hole and the signature 10th hole I wish I could play those again. Bunkers and OB areas made the course a real challenge. Friendly hard working staff and I whole heartedly recommend the place.

out of the way

A short course often uses winter greens in poor weather. can be wind affected.
Greens are tiny and difficult to stop shots on. Greens were very slow on the day we played after heavy rain.
Not a lot in terms of practice/warm-up facilities.
Staff were friendly enough. Very cheap to play as a casual visitor so value for money but don't ex[ect a lot.

Stiff Challenge

Due to remapping on four hole and a chance in the first and second cuts of grass.
Wishaw course has become a lot harder this year approximately 1 to 1.5 shots per hole for the regular golfer.

Will be good when finished

The course is in a transitional phase at the moment and four holes are on temps with the twelve being in a very bad condition but by the end of next month the new course should be in play so fingers crossed

Under reconstruction

In good condition but four new greens awaiting opening. Also a number of temporary tees. Would leave it six weeks before playing here again, as new greens will then be open

Great condition

Main course was in great condition, but tees were very poor. There is a lot of work going on with the course and 4 new greens will be magnificent when complete

Overlook gem

Due to the close proximity of the Belfry Wishaw is often overlook but it is a true test of golf. Four new greens coming in to play this year.
Course in great condition fairways and green that are open a great test of any golfings ability.

A little West Midlands gem!

Very welcome and accommodating club set up. Great first hole (and last) both ones that will remain in the mind. Some challenging holes where club selection is key to a good score. Greens very good. All-in-all well worth a visit and value for money in all respects. Our Society enjoyed a splendid, if very warm, day at Wishaw.
