What a little gem. Not long but with the challenge of the small greens, testing weather and dramatic elevation changes on a number of holes it doesn't need to be.
The tee boxes were the only downside of the day as I feel they could have been in a better condition.
Wouldn't hesitate to return and play here next time I'm in the area.

Great course. Be careful of the sea breeze
Brilliant course, excellent views. Well worth a crack at it, some difficult holes and some fairly forgiving sections of the course for those who aren't as advanced in golf (like me)

Good Course
I have only played the course once and i really enjoyed it. Tough par three's especially off the whites. Looks like a fair bit of work going on. The bar is in a terrapin but it works really well and San Miguel happy days.

Stunning.
Had a round while on holiday. Stunning scenery . Quite a tight course if your shots tend to be a bit wayward.

Played at Whitsand Bay for the first time and was very disappointed with the whole experience. Actually no changing/shower or toilet facilities as apparently the owners are building new ones. Speaking with a member before my round and he said although there is a hole in the ground since January they have been promised new facilities for years, which is why so many members have left. The shop is a shed with a very limited choice (apart from Nike)
The course was probably a little better then I expected after my initial impression, but still not great. Nice views out to sea though.

Lots of bad reviews about the facilities, which I guess from my experience are pretty valid. The course itself isn't great and was in average condition, but the views were pretty stunning from the 2nd hole by the coast. I think if the course had some investment would be ok plus the outdated facilities need looking at. A bit of a strange set up with no golf club house, but you can get a drink in the hotel bar if you want. Interesting experience, but don't think I will be back.

I have played here a couple of times over the years, the last time was early in Sept.
As has been said before this is not the longest course but on a windy day it is a true test of golf. My favourite hole was the third with the green fashioned in a bomb crater, definitely a marmite hole!
The club does not have the most Upton date facilities but this is more than made up by the friendly and accommodating staff.
They offer excellent food in the linked hotel and offer excellent value for money.
If you are in the area and are looking for a great value round of golf you won't go far wrong.

Actually, last week we wanted to discover Cornwall, but we enjoyed playing Whitsand Bay that much, so we played it three times. Each round was specific due to the weather/ wind conditions. A few tough holes linked to the Atlantik and stunning views at any time make it to a lovely links course. Greens have been in good condition and some are difficult to approach because of being tight and firm - it's an old, traditional course. If it is to short for you, you will play the white tees.
It is not Royal County Down, but I never played a course with such a good value for money (25 £ regular, 15 £ after 4pm. The new nice clubhouse and very friendly people let us enjoy Whitsand Bay.

Looking tired, lacking TLC. Green keepers driving sit down tractors on greens leaving tyre marks on green. No sand in bunkers. Greens patchy, especially 3rd, 14th, 18th.
No sign of attempts to repair damage from winter weather.
