Recent work on the drainage has helped the course no end. Reshaped holes on back 9 are excellent

West Country delight

An enjoyable, parkland style course that requires accuracy from the tees and a keen eye on the greens. The third hole will test anyone?s composure! The fairway, from tee to plateau green, has a 45 degree L-R camber. Driving to such a fairway could leave mental scars!

Lovely course in the summer

Lots of trees but very well set out. Greens and fairways in top condition. Shame I pulled my calf muscle o the 4th hole.
Third time here but could not remember half the holes.

Excellent condition despite bad weather

I've recently joined Tiverton and am very pleased to see the condition the course is in despite the recent spell of particularly wet weather. Also so course improvement going on which will make for some interesting new holes.
Due to covid, not much to comment on in terms of hospitality.

Has its plus points

The course itself looks lovely and the views off the 4th tee and green are amazing. The greens ran true but compared to other courses I have played in the south west, the greens are very slow, especially after the lack of rain in the past week or two.

In terms of the layout I found it a bit confusing however credit must go to the staff in the pro shop for making sure we knew where the third tee was given the walk past the 6th tee. I also think that the 10th hole and the 18th hole could easily be switched around so you are playing towards the club house.

Overall though it is a good course with it's challenges and definitely favours the golfer who hits their ball left to right.

Off the course the practice pitching area is a nice touch but be aware of tee shots from the 10th. The practice nets are also in a very good condition and provides ample space to warm up.

First time playing the course, in very good condition for mid October, greens were well cut and ran really true so nice to knock in a few from outside 15 feet.
Good value for the quality of the course and facilities.

I booked this course at the last minute and we took advantage of the £20.00 twilight fee. I couldn't believe how quiet the course was and we were able to stroll onto the 1st tee without seeing a soul. This obviously helped us to have a very relaxing game of golf. The 1st 9 holes are very good, and the first 3 are particularly tricky. I found the course to be beautifully maintained. The greens were true if a little slow ( recent rain ) and in tip top condition. There are several dog leg type holes and the fairways are quite narrow in some places. The rough was well tended and neither of us lost a ball....!!

So I would highly recommend this course. T
