What the club says: Downes Crediton Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of Crediton, approximately 5 miles from the city of Exeter and was established over 30 years ago thanks mainly to a group of golf enthusiasts who wanted to provide a golf facility for the benefit of the local community.

Tricky especially with sun baked fairways
Great setting in Devon hills. Quite long for a 70 Par ? Tricky for first time as has a few crossing fairways and not obvious tees. Greens in excellent condition. A few fairways are sloping fields where a good shot can be punished in summer by rolling away.Reviewer Rating

Very friendly club. The front nine fairly flat, the back nine mountainous! Some very attractive holes.

Great course
The course is in very good condition greens are being maintained so a bit sandyBut don't let that put you off a great day out

Nice course come and enjoy its challengeFront nine level back nine for a cardiac work out, but it's not so bad when you get youst to it ????

Grass on fairways and rough too long, particularly on a couple of banks (10th and 16th) making an already challenging course more difficult (why?) and not helping speed of play (time spent looking for balls). Nice course. In good condition
Played here yesterday. Course was in good condition. Invited by two members. Everyone very friendly. Two very different 9 holes. Front flat back 9 hilly. Greens were excellent. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend. Not too long so would suit golfers of all abilitiesReviewer Rating

Course Good, but dont like the criss cross tee ogg situation, someone was hurt whilst I was there, the greens were all dressed so cannot comment on how fair they were, some blind holes. Club house was excellent and meals ver good, would recommend.

Very friendly club, played here whilst on holiday and was made to feel welcome. Suprisingly flat front nine is countered by a hilly inward nine.... some great holes and fantastic greens...strongly advise buying a couse gude as the layout has you cris-crossing and to a visitor knowing where to go proved tough...luckilly there were enough members dotted around to point us in the right direction.
