The Pebble Beach of England. Everything about Thurlestone was fantastic. Superb course, great views, well designed holes, good condition. Excellent

Great location with course hugging cliffs and coast line. Some tight holes and playing toward the sea. Greens are small or long and thin and well guarded. Defiantly need the course guide if playing for the first time. Good practice facilities and the pro shop very friendly.Need to have some strategy as just hitting it long won't work.

Best Round of 2016, ground slightly soft due to heavy rain - for once little wind and lots of sun!!

My Home golf club and as a member I would say it is one of the best in Devon .... otherwise I wouldn't be a member! A good combination of varied and exposed front nine, to some very challenging par 5's on the back 9. Watch out for the sea and all it brings!

Before I played I read a few reviews and I was a bit disappointed. It's meant to be one of the top 100 courses in England, and Peter Alliss described it as England's Pebble Beach. I found the course to be quite open with very little definition between the holes. Ramblers have right of way and I found this off putting. Practice area is long way from the club house. The views are stunning but when I am in the area again I will be sticking to Bigbury GC.

A course with stunning views over the south Devon coastline. The course is a delight to play, and is not normally busy at weekends. The rough is not penal and a good score is possible, as long as the wind does not blow, as there is no shelter from the wind. A course I would never tire of playing, and the clubhouse staff are friendly and welcoming.

Stunning sea views from every point on the course. Very hilly and the wind makes it an interesting test of golf.

Short but stunning - blew a gale on Sunday so no one about - Played again in sunshine on the Monday and lots of walkers around the edge, so care needed. Course gives up a good score on a benign day but the locals suggest this is not often. Clubhouse food fantastic. Could play this every day for a week. Views are breathtaking all the way round.
