very nice par 3 course great practice fro short game. course is generally in good nick, fairways well looked after and greens offer a challenge, although after heavy rain drainage is a issue.

Course was in good condition,although the first nine holes started off wet. All the pins where in tough positions today and it made it very interesting. Thought that some of the bunkers were in poor condition. Also tried out the driving range before playing today and was not happy with only the large size rubber/tee off points on the mats.

There were sheep on the fairway and boggy areas on many of the greens...but I got a hole in one, so everything else isnt important!!!

We had 3 holes where the heavens opened and had to contend with syrface water on the greens. Overall we enjoyed the day again and will continue to visit when we can.

Heavy downpour the day before and the corse was very wet, with a number of puddles on greens and in bunkers. On one hole the flag was in the middle of a very big puddle and unplayable. I had to pull out an old hole and put the flag in that. I've played this course many times and it is usually in a brilliant condition.

Average course that presents limited challenges. Excellent for high handicappers/learners.

OK, so maybe due to the fact that I shot my lowest round ever on this course I may have a slightly romantic view of it. I mean it would be easy for me to assume that the reason I scored well was because it was an easy course but I would LIKE to think this wasn't the case. So, in truth, was it easy?? Well, I dont think so. For a mid handicapper like me it was still a decent challenge with some greens that had a nice bit of borrow. Dont get me wrong, it isn't a course of breath-taking natural beauty and it can in fact, at times, feel a little "manufactured" but at least it has been manufactured in a way that provides an enjoyable game of golf and maybe that is all that matters!

Nice course. Tees are a bit scruffy and the bunkers are a bit thin on sand. Fairly wide fairways but overall we enjoyed our two rounds returning after our first visit last year. It was extremely windy but still managed to score 33 and 38 points. In the summer and if its still you could score high thirties. Greens are not particularly fast but some are faster then others.

Thornbury is great. I have reviewed before.I play here every week. Most weeks Golfshake
asks me AGAIN to review, and "how I found it".
Golfshake really ought to ask a lot less frequently.
The automatic program asking every other time I
visit is pointless and annoying. Please adjust.
