Probably the best in the area

I played he in a visiting society and the course was the best i have seen it. The general condition is exceptional and great value for money. greens very slick and good definition all round. Our food was good and washed down with a cheeky pint or two. staff were excellent, friendly and attentive throughout. Our society will return again but i will return with a few others.

Enjoyable course and always in great condition

I really enjoy playing here, its very open and suits my golfing ability. A fair test certainly when its windy with good variety of holes. I don't play enough to warrant joining a club but if I did I would join Thornbury as it has two courses and excellent facilities.

Great little par 3 course

Great little course. Short holes but brilliant to practice your short game on.

Love this place, awesome course and clubhouse

Very good course and layout and probably the best maintained course in the area. The clubhouse is nice and offers a good variety of food. (go for the cheese & bacon burger) and the staff always friendly.

Very Good and always in great condition

A well laid out course and always in great condition. I always look forward to playing Thornbury, I play off 3 and enjoy the variety of hole the course offers. The short course is also great fun for all golfers and gives you a good opportunity to practice those shorter shots.

A great golfing venue

My friends and I really enjoy playing at here, we chose here over other nearby venues as its excellent value for money, the course is always in good condition regardless of the time of year. The club always seems to be upgrading their facility both on and off course. This is great to see and shows that they put money back int the club. See you soon!

Fantastic Place to play golf and socialise

I played Thornbury last weekend and although the course is wet the general condition is very good and much better that my home course. people do forget that the weather has been against golf courses and they expect the course to be dry, well its winter golf for a reason and that reflective in the price. I will continue to return and recommend to all golfers and those who want a bite to eat as the food is very good.

Great golf course, club and staff

Played this great course today and even after a lot of rain the greens were fast and true. Staff in the pro shop, on the course and in the club house were very helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back to play again.

Course in excellent condition. Fairways and greens. Bunkers a little light on sand. Long rough is very long like the US Open making it very likely to loose your ball.
