Really enjoyed this course, very good fairways and greens for mid August. friendly club house also.

A long course even off the yellows! Greens are excellent but not as fast as they were when I last played it earlier this year! Its a cracker well worth playing!

This is an awesome course and certainly one which you need your "A" game at. If this was in Surrey it would be ?75 per round and be busy every day! long par fours and the overall length is over 6600 off the yellows which is tough for the vast majority of amateur golfers

Thetford offers a great location for Golf all year round as it soaks up any rain during the wetter months. The downside to this is that it can get slightly dusty during the high summer as they are unable to use loads of water.
Its a great layout, can play really tough depending on the wind. Also fairly tight in places.
One of the best finishing holes in the area!

Despite the time of year the ground was firm but fairways were vey tight with little grass. Greens were extremely tricky. We were a society of 24 golfers and the top score was 32pts. It's long even off the yellows and even longer in March with little roll on the ball!!

Best course in the area for the winter time. However, I wouldn't recommend coming here on a busy day because the members are cocky and arrogant. There was a few groups not making us feel welcome.

I took a party of 14 to play Thetford last Friday, we are a mixed ability group (hcps 6-28) and we had a nice day. I don't want to be too down on the course as they looked after us really well but I do think that they have some problems with their fairways. It is obviously a course that drains really well but it hasn't been a dry summer by any stretch and the fairways are patchy at best and barren in places. In their defence they are trying to do something about it as they have scraped many of the fairways in an attempt to solve the problem but at the moment this just makes it worse. It makes iron play off the fairway very difficult as the ground breaks up so easily. OK so whinge over! We were looked after really well and the overall course is excellent and tough with many long and demanding par 4's and excellent greens, it's just a shame about those fairways.
