Shocking course when I visited. The weather had not been good but there's no excuse for presenting the course in such an appalling state.Tee boxes were cut up badlyMany of the fairways were like a field - hadn't been looked at for weeks by the state of them. Covered in leaves and molehills. I lost about half a dozen balls on the fairway !!Greens in dreadful condition.Not a word of warning from the pro shop when I checked in.Couldn't get a tea or coffee at halfway because the place was closed.Not cheap either.Awful. I'll not be returning

an awful course, i can say that this is the worst course i have ever played on. and i have played on alot. tees are lumpy and long-looks like they are cut with a strimmer by a blind man, the fairways are good, the greens are full of ruts, unrepaired divots and inconsistent grass lengths, the flags are torn and tatty, not one ball cleaner had water in it, the ditch dredging was left all over the place, no next tee signs, lack of yardage markers. if they only charged a fiver for a round i wouldnt go back here.

We just played the course on saturday 5th march and to be honest we were pretty disapointed at the condition of the fairways and greens. It was like they have been neglected and we never saw a greenkeeper at all and no good signage to show where next hole was and a real lack of distance markers too.Also in the bar the staff didnt even know about the winter special we had gone for so there was confusion there but food that did appear was good.Overall a poor experience some one needs to spend some time and money on this course.

Lovely Course in Poor condition
I have played the course a few times and found the condition of the greens and course in general to be the worst i have seen it. The greens were so dry and and earth was cracking open. The Rough & fairways had been cut and all the cut grass left on the course to hideyour ball!
I wont play again unless the course improves dramatically!

The grass just off the fairway is so thick that spending time looking for balls was irritating. Fairways good greens ok and tee boxes poor.

Has the potential to be an excellent course but needs a little care and attention in places. A couple of fairways contained muddy areas that hadn't been roped off ready for repair. A couple of greens were a bit patchy. The tenth tee (yellow) is a disgrace. The quality of bunkers was variable. Water is in play at almost every hole requiring carefully chosen clubs and accuracy. Make sure that you are fully equipped before travelling because the pro shop is sparse.

This could be a fantastic course but sadly at the moment is very far away from that. It is very green and lush. However the state of some of the fairways is v poor. ? of the tee boxes are like teeing off from the Village Green and the water hazards, which are challenging but good, are ridiculously overgrown with very high nettles amongst other things. The fairways are in good order but after that there is only mid rough, not skirt on the fairways and now low or tempering of rough. It is poor. The greens are generally ok. It appears the course suffers from the same as the Hotel, (from reading Trip Advisor) in poor condition and in need of repair and refurbishment. The whole complex lacks leadership and management. That itself would improve matters very quickly even without the required investment

An interesting course with a few enjoyable holes. However,the whole place (the course and the hotel) is looking tired and needs a lot of investment to bring it up to standard.

Have played here 3 times this year. Always on a groupon deal. Would not pay the going rate. Course could be fabulous but needs a bit of TLC. Greens run irregular some fast some v slow (hairy) some downright awful. (needs reseeding from scratch). Looks over played and is true is only golf course open in some bad weather weekends despite being a near wetland area itself. Suffers for this. Leaves everywhere for weeks! Even in spring! Could be 5 star but ends up 2.
