Lovely course
Plenty of water hazards on every hole. Very challenging course. We'll kept course. A few areas including tees reseeded. There are no bunkers on the course, but there are more than enough water hazards to compensate for this.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 100 Handicap: 31)

Returned back as a member recently
Very good atmosphere and friendly club to play
Wet weather hasnt been kind to the course but still an enjoyable game is had.
Anybody in the Bury or near area looking for a value for money fun yet challenging course / club its worth giving it a go.

Course under renovation, still worth a visit
The whole complex is under renovation, the golf course has had a lot of work done on it and is starting to see the bensfit.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 86 Handicap: 14.9)

Better than last time I played but generally poor. Greens were a mix of average and bad, fairways mostly good but bunkers had been filled in and the surface grass was bare and scrub. Should have been marked GUR but wasn't.
New clubhouse very nice but uninterested staff and no food - not even a bag of crisps, and this was at 330pm.

Club recently changed owenership, and can see real investment. In a couple of years, could be a very very good place to play golf!

This course will be brilliant! They are doing an immense amount of work digging up and re designing the water and all the bunkers were out of play as they were waiting for a delivery of sand. The course will be wet in the winter i assume but was great in the middle of summer.there is currently no pro shop and club house Hole 10 is dangerous in my opinion as only a slight hook sends it into gardens/ houses.
would return without doubt.

Much improved - greens in particular. Lots of work still going on re drainage but a challenging course is at last getting the attention it deserves

First time round very impressed with layout, can't club it round you have to think. Best greens outside the belfry that ive played recently.

Played The Suffolk last week for the 1st time since last summer, always been a great layout but was in terrible condition. What a difference a few months makes! Loads of improvement to the course, greens are great, fairways & aprons looking fantastic. Just need to sort out the tee boxes & then it'll be the full package. Looking forward to visiting again next week.

I've been playing The Suffolk for about 10 years, have always enjoyed it & the condition has improved significantly in the last few months. Always greeted warmly & the challenging layout makes it an interesting round every time. Look forward to playing again soon.

wet and misserable day, the course is very green, plenty to challenge a steady golfer with. Enjoyed the round.

Course could do with some work in places, but its a good test the staff and facilities are very good
