Nice course, the first 9 are a little open and nondescript but the back 9 is a lot nicer and interesting, good fairways, greens lack a bit of imagination, a good value course with two tough finishing holes.

Nice course and a decent test. Great views. Greens are true but lush and slow even in mid summer. Tee boxes not level and fairways not really defined. Could be so much better with some investment in ground works.

Very nice course with some challenging holes. Some tricky greens with challenging hole positions.
Downside is that the club house bar closes at 6pm!

Played here with Society. Tee to green the course is excellent. Unfortunately, the state of the greens leaves an awful lot to be desired. Extremely bumpy and virtually impossible to keep putts on line. I had one dead weight putt which was heading into the centre of the cup that decided to turn 90 degrees to the left about half an inch before the hole. Sorry, but the wet weather cannot be blamed for this. Otherwise, a very friendly and welcoming club and all in all a very enjoyable experience.

Played it a few weeks back. Once you get your drive away on the first which is a bit blind you are away, and the course is straightforward then. Despite the rain, it was in good condition and although a bit long in places was nice to play. Greens are excellent ! Well worth a try ?

Had a Society outing last weekend. Thought the staff were very good. It was a good value day out. The course was well presented, tidy and with fairways that were generous that enabled all of our party to enjoy the trip. The scoring was quite high which suggests the course is straightforward though some of the greens were very tricky. They would have benefited from a slightly lower cut with the mower, seemed like they had not been maintained since the previous Friday. Showers were mediocre and the locker room is small. Our preferred course in that part of the world is Bromborough, further up the M56/53.

Booked this using teeofftimes.co.uk and at £16 it is really good value. Fairways are reasonably wide (well kept) and very undulating. The greens are a real test as they are fairly small, but tiered with lots of slopes etc. Overall a good course that is well maintained and some interesting holes. I would happily return.

Challenge with firm greens
I love Sutton Hall, each hole presents a different challenge. The Fairways and greens were in top condition (although the green have firmed and aren't very receptive), some of the tee boxes need a little attention as they were becoming scruffy with weeds and longer grass.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 85 Handicap: 14.6)

really good option for west cheshire area

1pm tea time, like millionaires golf. Course was very quiet. Very good value for money but fairways could do with a cut.
