The course last Sunday was extremely poor condition, greens were previously \'spiked\', no problem but \'slugs\' left next to greens, sand in bunches on green and long grass on both tees and greens. This was the worst condition golf course I have ever played. Asked for refund but the staff do not come back to you at all. I have played there numerous times before, taken societies etc. Never again will I visit this course.

This was one of the Crown Golf courses, recently taken over by another company. It used to be a great little course to hone your game as it is not long, but a lack of investment and high volume, the standards have really dropped. The tees and fairways are especially poor as the tee boxes are very rarely moved. But now the greens are also starting to suffer. The green fees were very high given the quality, but recently they have reduced so maybe the owners have realised the issue. However this may only make the situation worse, with higher volume of players if they don't start investing in the course. Tiny and not great pro shop. Good range but only recently revamped as it was bad before. Not sure about the pumping music to make it more ?hip? now. Juries out on that one.

Over priced, fairway weeds

For ?30 a man this course is well over priced although this must be common knowledge so was quite empty for a Saturday morning.

The Tee boxes are a state as are the fairways there are one to many par 3?s, the bunkers have more stone than Brighton beach and i do not see the need for this set up as there is a nine hole course adjacent that could be borrowed from for the extra space.

At £27 for a weekend round this course is overpriced. I would rate it at around £20, no more.

Sooo Busy

Course is in half decent condition for such a public course.
However we suffered such severe waiting times where they’ve packed every 7min tee off times with 3 and 4balls. The standard of golfers is mostly high handicap as I’ve never heard so many fours being shouted in my life. As the course is tightly designed with fairway next to fairway, there were others on each fairway you play from neighbouring holes. We were nearly hit by a few balls without even hearing a warning.
We won’t play again unless we can get the first tee off time to avoid the chaos.
Has so much potential but needs a decent course manager to make it enjoyable rather than just to cram people on to maximise profits

Greens not great

Very nice little course which is doable in quick time. Unfortunately the greens were really poor as result of recent aerating but the course is still enjoyable and worth a visit. Good value

Unhappy experience

Played the 9 hole this morning by myself. Two members teeing off roughly 10 minutes before me, who hacked their way round and refused to let me play through for the duration of the round, despite continuously catching them up. Sad that the course doesn’t seem properly looked after, unrepaired divots everywhere (including one in the middle of a green??), greens were like thick carpets, and greenkeepers were a pair of teenagers messing around. The range is handy to have near to home, but the 18 hole course also leaves a lot to be desired.

Course absolutely rammed

The 18-hole course is not very long but is a decent challenge. The layout is good and the greens are in good nick. My only complaint about my round on Saturday (11th July) was that the course was absolutely jammed. Haven't seen anything like it previously when playing here. I had to joined with a couple of other guys as there was no point trying to play through due to multiple slow 3 or 4 balls ahead of us. Even worse, there was a society or group of lads a couple of groups behind us with 8 buggies that were spraying balls all over the fairways! We had to avoid 3 of their tee shots on the adjoining fairways a couple of times. Dangerous stuff as there is no protection from trees on this course.

I understand that this can happen sometimes but the club needs to ensure that they are managing the tee starts with someone supervising when the course is this crazy busy.
