Hilly and Challenging
We were glad we booked a buggy as the course is quite hilly in parts. Lots of challenging holes, including elevated tees and some blind shots. The pace of play was slow and a round took us about 5 hours. Good value course, greens in good condition even though it was wet underfoot.Reviewer Rating

A good challenge!
Some very picturesque and tricky holes.A bit hilly in places but well worth a visit.

Greens were lightening quick but in good nick. Very challenging course and you have to think your way round, would definitely do things a little differently if played again

First time played for about 3years, course in excellent condition greens quite rapid and challenging, bunkers(which I saw quite a few of) and fairways again well manicured and fair, would love to play course more and highly recommend.

Awesome course, shame the greens had just been dressed, they are extremely hard and fairly fast which was a shame. The course is generally in good condition and offers some of the best facilities and challenging holes in the Bristol area. Awesome course.

Great club! Down to earth, welcoming and in summer wonderful views. In places you could think that you were in Tuscany.

Played in January on a cold but dry day. Course in good nick for winter no temp greens only a couple of tee mats. Greens were very playable if a bit slow but that's fine for time of year. Couple of the greens were frozen! Overall an enjoyable course, plenty of variety and changes in elevation. A good walk even though not a long course. Defford want to play again. Stovkwood Lane is really y narrow in places so not a pleasure to get to!
