What the club says: Set in the heart of Lincolnshire, Sleaford is a private members golf club of approximately 800 members. Boasting a superb all year round playable course and excellent hospitality, Sleaford Golf Club is widely regarded as one of the finest courses in the County. We readily encourage visitors to the Club to enjoy our excellent facilities.
Often described as an inland links with sandy well draining soil, Sleaford Golf Club is an excellent all year round course. A large majority of the course is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which ensures that a natural evolution of the course is maintained.

The hardest course I've ever played
The hardest course I've ever played is the actual truth. A very enjoyable day but what a challenge. The rough off the fairways is brutal. The greens are super fast and tricky with multiple slopes. The clubhouse is fantastic and the staff and catering are exceptional. A very good visit and one even being punished as much as you were didn't deter the eagerness for a return to try again. Sleaford was in superb condition. The greens were rolling so smooth. Always a friendly welcome and a great sausage bap afterwards. Good mix of hole difficulty and the wind can change the way the course plays drastically.

Great condition for December.
Played Sleaford after a long period of damp December weather. Despite this the fairways were in excellent condition and the greens were similar, I applaud the green keeping staff for their work.Reviewer Rating

Course bounce back
Course has bounced back after the flooding in the winter and is now back to playing great again. Mats are needed on 17th fairway (if you find it) which are provided so nice touch there. Enjoyable layout with some testing opening holes.Reviewer Rating

Super course, great value
I really enjoyed playing this course. The greens were well looked after and a consistent speed. Lots of variety, loved the short par 3 where you have to hit a wedge over the trees to land on the green the other side of the copse! Nice to see clear signage and maps of each hole at the tee box. Pace of play was ok, a little slow up front due to a members comp. Great value with a county card or twilight rates.I didn't use the practice facilities or clubhouse, but they looked decent.

Lovely track

Early January and I expected some restrictions but there were only a few tee boxes not in use and the rest of the course was playable as in the summer.
The greens ran true and were clear of the usual winter rubbish. Bunkers all playable and well raked.

Was sent here as belton woods was shut
Could not believe our eyes with how good condition the course was in and like there was no rain recently. Will be using this course again the green were immaculate and it's a lovely course

Played last weekend at Sleaford.
Course in good condition for the time off year, Greens were in good condition and ran true. Fairways hit and miss. Tee boxes not in too bad a condition.
The clubhouse is a really friendly feel and members just pop in for a pint passing. Now that's a proper club atmosphere. Food good as well.

Very nice old course with excellent layout and easy walking on a sandy base. Not very well cared for at present and not up to the standard I saw last time I was there. However there is a good reception in the clubhouse that makes it still enjoyable to play and with a little effort on course maintenance can be a really good place to visit.

Played at the end of Nov and vs other courses the condition was good. Played in very high winds but course was still playable. Interesting mix of holes. Would go back again
