What the club says: Sherdons golf centre is open to the public 7 days a week offering a 9 hole, pay and play (no membership required) golf course, 20 bay floodlit covered driving range, pro shop and fully licensed club house offering hot and cold food all day.
Memberships are available for all ages and those working full time with 5 day, 7 day options.
Located just outside Tewkesbury, Sherdons Golf Centre is home to the Richard Ballard Golf Academy and offers golfers old and new of all abilities, a warm, friendly welcome.

golf day for our group
I booked a golf day here for our nomadic group of senior golfers. The Centre showed flexibility from the start by accommodating an additional ninth player even though we had only booked two tee times. Lunch was efficiently organised for us to fit between the two rounds of 9, with the food arriving merely 5 minutes after we returned from the first round. Course not in the best of shapes. Greens in great condition but bunkers poor looking like a beach area rather than manicured. Every tee box had no grass just completely barren - loose soft soil. It is a 9 hole course with 2 tee positions on some holes, no sign of this being in play. The 7th par 3 tee box had a lot of broken wooden supports around it - looked very scruffy. Will not be playing here again.

Damaged greens
The course is challenging to play but overpriced for a 9 hole, course especially as the greens were damaged on several holes the last time I played. The dining area is lovely and there is a good variety of food and drink. I've not used the driving range but it looks good. It needs a maybe button on whether I would recommend or play the course again.Reviewer Rating

A Little Gem
This pay-and-play 9-hole course offers plenty of challenges, including ditches and a lake. It's mostly well kept - when the weather allows! - and the management do their level best to keep the course open if at all possible, which I don't think is always appreciated! The centre has a 26-bay floodlit driving range with Trackman, indoor studios, custom-built short-game area and adventure golf. On top of that, it has an attractive lounge and outside eating area, and excellent catering. There seem always to be new initiatives in the pipeline, and in my view the centre offers excellent value for money.And no, I don't work for them!

winter prices bonanza
Many course reduce their prices over winter but not this one. Having booked tee times over two weeks ago, we were surprised to be greeted with a 20% increase in the green fee. It might have been courteous to let us know.Nevertheless the course was in good shape with the fairways cut and the greens running true. Whether this is worth the price hike is debatable.

Poor, course was ok but greens and bunkers not well kept. Had some challenge but pace of play was slow. Lady at bar too chatting to serve people

A golf day at Sherdons
A really friendly, flexible club with accommodating staff. Some of us started early on the range; then we set off on a round of 9 holes followed by lunch in the cheerful cafe. Those that wanted to went out for another 9 holes and then home.One of the best things to happen to happen to this club finally is to install a working clock on the first tee. At long last! now there can be no arguments .

a little bit slippery

This course is in terrible condition. It's like playing from mud no matter where your ball comes to rest. Don't waste your time here, play elsewhere. Even South Cerney is in better condition. Furthermore it takes forever to get round. Ridiculous for the money they charge.

Driving range busy. Not bad but a few bays being used by multiple people. For a 9 hole course it's not bad but conditions on some tees were not great and lady behind the bar was rude when I went for a pint afterwards. Could easily be great but fell short.

Played here a few weeks ago. Friendly and helpful staff. The driving range was great with lots of bays and trackman on nearly all bays. After warming up and then played the 9 holes. Challenging for a 9 hole course, but good. Bar/cafe is inviting and friendly. Go and enjoy.Reviewer Rating

Came to practice as I heard good things. Driving range was rowdy with people making snide comments in the adjacent bay then couldn't book a tee time as a single player. Play was the slowest I've known. For what it is not worth the petrol to get here

Don't bother
Why was it even open today. It is just a bog.Ended up giving up on round with my son and trying the adventure park, ruined by a bunch on teenagers
