What the club says: Puckrup Hall's par 70, 6293 yard championship course was built in the original parkland of the Hall and brings into play many of its natural hazards. Combine the three lakes and various tactically placed bunkers with the superb views of the Malvern Hills and you have one of the finest golf courses in Gloucestershire.

VS Golf Meeting
Having just completed 3 days golf at Puckrup hall Hotel and Golf Club I didn’t get the opportunity to see you to thank you for your help and the hospitality we received during the three days.Everyone had a great time before, during and after the golf. The efforts of all yours and the hotel staff were greatly appreciated, especially in respect of the smooth handling on the meals yesterday afternoon, so thanks for that.
Looking forward to seeing you next year.

On behalf of the Gloucester Gurkha Golf Society, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for hosting us on Saturday, 21st June 2025. It was truly a brilliant day. The course was in excellent condition and provided just the right level of challenge. We are especially grateful for the opportunity to play from the white tees, which all our members thoroughly enjoyed. Please pass on our sincere appreciation to the greenkeeping team and everyone involved in preparing and maintaining the course, as well as supporting the event so well. Your efforts helped make it a truly memorable day of golf. Thank you. We feel privileged to have played at your club and are already looking forward to returning next June.

The course was generally in very good condition. The greens were a bit bobbly due to the usual winter repairs as the have not knitted together yet probably because no enough watering. Definitely recommend it's a lovely course

great day out 5 hours of pure excellence

There was a lot of pressure as organisers of our society day yesterday because of the unique recent wet weather. The staff were absolutely brilliant in managing the complexities of our day, matching our requirements to course management. Enjoyable appreciated day of golf for us.

unbelievably good shape
Trollies allowed on the front nine, carry only for the back nine. A wonderful day with great greens. Too much time however was spent by many fours looking for balls lost on the fairway.Reviewer Rating

Ladies Day Out
Puckrup is a perfect place for a group booking, they accommodated 50+ ladies. The whole event was superbly organised by Dani and her team, from booking to the end of the golfing day. Nothing was too much trouble. The course was looking great and the food was fantastic. There was plenty of room to sit and have a drink on the terrace after golf. Due to recent dry weather fairways hard; difficult to take a divot with irons on the fairways but some rain will quickly solve this problem. Bunkers really need more sand; very shallow sand layer making bunkers very difficult to strike behind the ball. Course is very good looking and challenging. Lovely layout with great staff in the clubhouse.

Course in excellent condition, the dry days have allowed it to be cut everywhere, fairways etc. Greens flat and true with good pace. Variety of holes is good, excellent views. Pace of play was good and price very reasonable. The only issue is that the clubhouse still does not provide food and you have to walk across to the hotel restaurant which doesn't really provide golfing type food and is also expensive.

Good course reasonably long, lots of sand in the bunkers with some still being redone. In really good condition. Pace of play really good. The clubhouse is the only let down for us as it still does not do food after covid, you have to go across to the hotel restaurant (Hilton) which really doesn't cater for golfers with lots of unusual combination meals and sandwiches at much higher than usual prices.

Course in good condition for the time of year. Greens excellent and quite quick. Nice to play of mostly grass tees and the few mats we used are good to use. Pace of play excellent, no waiting and the round for a 3 ball was only 3.5 hours, this was also helped by not having too much punitive rough so could find balls just of the fairway. Clubhouse not being used for food since Covid, you have to use the hotel and so don't use it.

Stunning location
So glad this course was saved from being axed. That said, a lot of work required on the greens and bunkers, huge potential once this is done. New owners need to realise that it is primarily a golf course and club, with passing members of the public being an extra revenue stream, not the main revenue stream.Reviewer Rating
