Greens in great condition, very fast. Fairways very wet due to amount of rain, balls plug easily. Well worth a visit.

Played yesterday to get some practice in before I play my mates here. Good course, fairways nice and tight and greens good. Excellent value although food portions could have been bigger. Luckily I had some spare sandwiches, crisps and cake in my golf bag. Even though I was on my own I did get some grief from a 4 ball behind for slow play but once I\'d given the old girls some sandwiches and cake all was well.

A plane spotters paradise, as it's on the Gatwick take off/landing path, but that aside, what a fantastic course. A great test of your golf, and how straight you can hit the ball.

Course and club are excellent but round was ruined by a 2 ball ahead thinking they were pro's, but struggling to break 200. They held us up (3 ball) for the entire round and would not let us play through as they said they were playing a "leisurely round". Judging by the amount of balls they lost, they should consider crazy golf, or even walking to green and just putting, this may if they were lucky, limit ball loses to half a dozen balls each.
Rusper this is not your fault, you like every club are against slow play

Goodbye Rusper Golf Club - September 2020
I wanted to play Rusper before it closed for good this month. I must say I really enjoyed it,
The course will still be maintained right up until the end and is still in fantastic condition.
The fairways were well cut and the greens were beautiful.
The water holes, Wallys hole, the holes in the trees, all had their charm..
The course looks like it is being sold for farmland and not housing, so that is something.
Goodbye Rusper, I really enjoyed playing you.
Thanks for the memories.
RIP.

A complete Gem of a course
Such a shame this course is being shut down, played it for the first time yesterday (24/08/20) and really enjoyed it. it really makes me sad to see courses like this go.
Obviously all the facilities are shut down, but you can see that this was once a lovely place to play golf.

First time visitor. Clubhouse looks and feels like a dilapidated greenhouse but the welcome was warm and the breakfast was decent. It is a very tough course. Don't be fooled by the gentle open feel of the first two holes. Hole 3 is a tough par 5 with accuracy required for the second shot and that sets the tone for the trouble ahead. Lots of the holes have dog legs, small landing areas or require lay up shots that leave very long approaches into the greens. We all struggled to score. Despite word of drainage improvements and a fairly benign Autumn, the course played long and heavy and I still think it wont cope too well if the weather turns wet. Still, enjoyable day, good value for money at £30 and would love to have a crack at this course in the Summer.

I've been a member at Rusper for a few years and probably play 4 times a week although my wife thinks it\\\\\\\'s only once a week . I have played on many courses in the area therefore I am in a good position to compare Rusper to its competitors. \\\\\\\\The club has recently acquired new owners and whilst at first sight there may not seem as though much has changed there is a lot of work now going on to improve the course/facilities. There is clearly a lot of money now being spent on getting the greens and fairways into great shape and this will only improve on what is already a fantastic course. The challenge will be to prepare the course for winter as it historically can be very wet however after speaking to Fergie, an extremely friendly and enthusiastic green keeper, I know there will big big improvements due the new owners. \\\\\\\\What I also appreciate is that I usually play very early mornings and quite often the green keepers are out and about and are more than happy for me to play at this time where i know other courses do not allow this. \\\\\\\\The course itself is very challenging and every hole has its dangers with many holes being tree lined. There are also quite a few holes where water comes into play. I know my game has definitely benefitted from this and I know drive a lot more consistently and can now draw or fade my shots depending on the shots needs. \\\\\\\\Overall, taking everything into account including costs it is by far the best choice around and I hope to remain a member for many years.
