Drainage
The layout of the course is good and, in places, a decent challenge.The drainage is poor though. Mud all over.
I like that all greens are open all year round, unlike other courses, though.

not a bad course, boggy and wet but to be expected that time of year, not bad value for money. could be worse could be better

great course for the money

Always friendly and welcoming the course is soaking wet but with the rain they can't help it. Maybe the groundstaff could clear the greens

Great Course, Bunkers Struggle
I really like this course and have played it many times now. Does well in the colder and wetter weather, but the bunkers tend to get completely full of water. Has some interesting holes and a couple of challenging par 3's in 7 and 15. Does decent food and has a range, it is worth a visit if you are looking for a new challenge for a cheap price of ?10-15.Reviewer Rating

Not much water!
Although it's called the Blue Monster there isn't much water. It's a fun course non the less and mixes a good deal of par 4s with 5s and 3s. Very good value for moneyReviewer Rating

SLOW!!
The course was in excellent condition, the greens were class, does have a tendency to be boggy at times, however is completely let down by its senior members who were in four balls ahead, had to wait long periods on every tee, even though leaving the previous green the members were not even off the tee, and at times hitting second shots from around 10/20 yards from the tee, but still wasn't invited through, but all that doesn't compare to when another member joined them on the 10th to make a five ball! This is the third time I have played there and on all occasions the members have reacted in the same way.... great course.... poor members...Reviewer Rating

Good Course
Strange weather due to hurricane traversing Ireland low light and variable speed greens it was generally in good condition also very busy course with large groups slowing play and green keepers constantly interrupting play. and strong winds impacting drives we(Round played: Oct 2017 - Score: 99 Handicap: 26.2)
