What the club says: Onneley Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland golf course situated on the Staffordshire, Cheshire, Shropshire border, All though not the longest course in the area at 5740 yards (competition tees) Onneley rewards the straighter hitters rather than the big hitters.

Nice course
Onneley is a lovely little course, but is beginning to suffer with the hot weather. Although the greens are in great condition, the fairways and the tees are getting a bit bare in places. Also the toilets half way round need condemning. They are a health hazard.Reviewer Rating

Wonderful staff
Our golf society (Herding Cats) had our golf day here today and we can’t let the day pass without saying a huge thank you to Pat and her colleague who not only looked after us throughout our visit but provided the most amazing food too. We had a breakfast and dinner which were fantastic. They both also worked behind the bar and did everything with good humour and a warm smile. We loved them both and one of the main reasons we keep coming back every year. Brilliant value too. Thanks both.Reviewer Rating

Onneley
Onneley is a lovely course in good condition with many different types of holes. The rough is at such a height that if you are unfortunate enough to stray off track, there is a good chance of finding it. The only slight criticism is that there could be more signs indicating the direction to the next tee.Reviewer Rating

Great golf, great food, great staff.

Nice and quiet course
Onneley is a fairly quiet, inexpensive course. The greens are very small so will challenge your approach shots and short game. It's a pleasant course and seems friendly. Well worth a visit.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 20.5)

Great place, very friendly club
Staff at Onneley are fantastic and friendly, the breakfast was great. The course is challenging, the fairways were neat their best but they have had a lot of rain recently. Greens were good and fair. Would recommend you give it a try. We will definitely be back.Reviewer Rating

Little gem in Cheshire
This us a very friendly club with no pretences.You get a warm welcome and the club house facilities are excellent - a great breakfast to start.The course is in a lovely condition and the greens are excellent.All you have to do is turn up,pay £15 and on you go.A good day out, so give it a try!!

I LOVE ONNELEY
What a great little club, very friendly and welcoming. The fairways and greens are in superb condition. I had the pleasure of playing with the Seniors Captain, Steve and his friend David. Great company, although I felt a little daunted, being a high handicapper and finding out they were hcp 13 and 16; and of course finding out I am playing with the Seniors Captain!All this was quickly brushed aside, both were great company, very encouraging and welcoming and I had the best game of golf since I started playing, which was 7 months ago now.
This course is relatively short, but what it lacks in distance it makes up for in character. Beautiful scenery, nicely placed hazards, thick tree lines, great fairways and greens that catch you out. Well, me anyway!
Everyone is really friendly, fantastic bacon butties and really a pleasant atmosphere.
Scored 91, hcp 28, 29 putts, 3 birdies, 2 pars, 2 holes that I blew up on.
I love this course; if I was looking for a local club to join this would be it; but it's too early for me to be joining a club when there are so many of them in the area.

Not one to miss
The club house is under extensive renovation through the summer,however all the amenities are stillavailable and hospitality still at its very best.This may look on paper as a short course but the challenge ahead is intrigueing,good course management and you will have a great day out at the fraction of the cost to other courses.The course is in suberb condition and would highley recommend this course to anyone.Thanks to you all at Onneley golf club.Good luck Dave

Very quaint course - more strategic than one for the big hitters off the yellow tees it is much longer off some of the white tees. Tight in places you have to plot your way around very easy to get blocked out by trees if on the wrong side of the fairway. The greens are a little slow at the moment (early April 2017) but I'm sure they are just being protected because they look in good condition they should be very good after a good cut and iron
