A very enjoyable course to play and well worth a look, I'll be adding it to my circuit and playing there again.

But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The majority of fairways are tree lined and well defined, not too short. Bunkers are strategically placed on fairways and around greens, which are smooth, quite quick and a challenge to read.
Course is a little on the short side, and 'big hitters' will find some of the par 4s easily reachable, but challenging par 3s and difficult greens counter this.

Pro shop is well stocked and staff helpful and polite.
Club house is a seperate building which houses the sports hall etc... It is clean and serves a variety of drinks and bar meals/snacks.

A well laid out course, making the most of natural features. Tees were good although some were a little uneven, fairways a huge and well maintained, greens are nicely shaped, smooth and quick with some tricky contours, and bunkers were nicely raked .
Don't let the yardage fool you, what it lacks in distance it makes up for in many other ways.
A challenge to a reasonable golfer, yet forgiving to the beginner, and at £13 a round it won't break the bank.

Being a public course, it does suffer slightly from the 'less caring' element, with the odd discarded drinks bottle dumped carelessly in a ditch (a few metres from one of the many wastebins!), but overall the course is well kept.
Situated across a steepish burn valley, the legs get plenty of excercise as each valley side is climbed twice.
The associated sports facilities provide bar, restaurant, toilet, shower and changing facilites. The club shop is now freshly stocked with all the usual equipment.
