Bargain membership

£385 for a years golf and very rarely a Saturday competition. All holes are different with some good birdie chances and as i found out, an easy 10 as well. Good tee times available, friendly staff and players. Was a member here two years ago before being a two year journeyman with big debit card hits and wanted steady golf and not 'first time available 1040 etc'. Good greens, fairways and good sanded bunkers unlike some courses with a light dusting over mud. On-site covered driving range and chipping area. Do not be put of by course length or par 69.Highly recommended and food over the road at the complex is good and cheap. Try it!!!!

Great straight forward course. Well looked after even with the recent dry spell, all the greens are in good shape and have been watered.

Bargain

Played after 5pm and only £8. Short course at times but still plenty of chance to lose balls. Greens in really good nick and well worth a visit. Didn't stay for food.

Good weather and recent improvements in the cutting and maintenance regime have improved the course greatly. The bunkers have had sand added, and a new tee box and bunker on the tenth have added to the challenge. The new layout on the eighteenth is still to be completed, the hole being made into a very short par three for health and safety reasons. Whilst I understand the reasons behind the modifications, it is not a great hole to finish the round on. The quality of the greens is generally good and improving, and alterations to fairway layout, second cut and a new apron on the fourth hole are to be commended.

This is far by the best council course I've played, there's actual sand in the bunkers and all the course is well looked after and at £13 is a bargain

Played here last year and didn't finish my round, both the course and myself couldn't take any more rain.

Returned today, and I was not disappointed.

This course requires every shot in the book, uphill/downhill lies, feet above/below the ball, over sand, over water, dog leg left, dog leg right.

The course itself is well maintained and enjoyable to play. My only complaint is without knowing the layout, it is quite a walk from green to tee on a few holes, nothing a few signs wouldn't fix.

A good well maintained course, with some tricky par 3's. The facilities are very good with the club shop being reasonably priced and the bar is very reasonable as well.

A diamond parkland course in County Durham

A shortish length course with some tough par 3's, reasonable green fee in the heart of County Durham

members here for two years. It may be a par 69 but it'll not be often that you play so many 19oyrd+ par 3's. great fun for those ?1 bets.
