I'll gladly add to the glowing reviews on here. There was only one temporary green, but the course was in otherwise excellent condition for a cold March day. 6 par 3s ans 2 blind par 5's make for a unique set up. Don;t let the scorecard fool you into thinking this will be a walk over. The course is so hilly (a bit like Reddish Vale, Houghwood and Silverdale) that some holes play one or two clubs less, but some of the 300 yard holes found me hitting a 3 wood, 8/9 iron second. Tight driving holes and fast slopy greens make you think and plot your way round Good deal on membership at the moment I was advised by Ben in the pro shop - too bad I live an hour away! Will definately be back

If like me you've looked at playing Mold before, and then looked into it and thought a) it's short and b) 6 pars 3s so "I will not bother" then you are missing out on a real treat.
Having never played it before for those reasons, I finally decided to give it a go and ignore my pre conceptions. What a great course. Not a flat hole on it, some up, some down, but nothing that was too strenuous. Every single hole gives you something to think about. The par 3s are excellent especially 6 and 9. There are quite a few blind tee shots (or 2nd shots on par 5s) so if you're a bit wide, shout fore as we didn't see one group. They were fine about it but it was a lesson learned. The 12th hole is a real treat of a par 4, and all 3 par 5s are brilliant - you drive up to the fairway and then fire down to a green. The greens, considering it is 16/10/15 were great - quick and true. Signage was excellent as there are some small walks to the next tee. Not many though.
All in all a fantastic course and one you should certainly visit in my opinion.

Excellent course, the best I've played (I used to be a member at Denbigh GC, cancelled Denbigh to join Mold GC yesterday). The course has everything you could ask for, plenty of character and great views for miles on a clear day. This course will take some beating.

Enjoyable course, playing for a first time is hard as there are so many blind tee shots. Great staff in the clubhouse and a great sandwich in the bar!

A short but tricky and hilly course. A gem ! Play it with a buggy and take the strain out of the walk ? Always in great condition with wonderful green to putt on ! A test of accuracy and commitment, with blind shots, some narrow fairways, and elevated tees to downhill greens, it has it all ! The par 3s are amazing ? Definitely one you must play! Great views! Pro has an indoor tuition studio also.

This course seems to go from strength to strength, everything was in perfect condition from the 1st tee to the last, fairways were in excellent condition, the greens were a pure pleasure to play on
