Course played with no personality, appearing very boring, terrible design, waste of time, only plus was the greens in good nick, thou pitch marks left unrepaired

A fairly exposed, very flat, parkland course up on top of Lansdown hill but disappointingly not many fews of the surrounding country side... plenty of the racecourse though.
I found it fairly uninspiring though without any real memorable holes. The par 4's vary tremendously in length, some are there for the taking others are a real challenge to get to (or near) the green in regulation especially playing into the wind.

This course is good on a nice day with no wind as it is situated on the top of a hill the wind is normally strong and poses a stern test for the best of golfers. The space the club has is limited due to the racecourse next to the colf course so the practice facilities aren't top of the range. Overall the course is normally in good condition and the experience of the round is normally worth the green fee

Not a bad course at all
Decent course with some long par fours and four par fives. Some of the longer holes a bit featureless, long and open but a few real excellent holes, including two lovely par threes. Forgiving, but long.Reviewer Rating

Good course
