What the club says: The Park is the perfect setting for two outstanding golf courses and is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Park stretches over 240 acres of historic parkland, which includes trees that are over 400 years old. Both courses, the Crown and the Cromwell, have their own distinctive character and are recognised as two of the finest in the south-west.

Nestling in the heart of some of the most mature and unspoilt natural parkland, the magnificent Crown Course is an easy walking course whilst presenting a challenge to all levels of player. This 6252-yard, par 69 course is rich in features, with woodlands, lakes, inviting greens and well-placed bunkers that require a 100% strategy.

The Cromwell Course is the perfect combination of old and new, bringing together the best of both worlds. This course boasts a wonderful setting, with mature trees, streams, lakes and modern, USGA-specification greens. Gently undulating fairways provide this 6246-yard, par 71 course with excitement, reward and magnificent views stretching out across the Cotswolds.

Most Helpful Review

Two great and different golf courses. The Cromwell being the easier of the two courses has stunning views of Bristol and the surrounding area. Large USPGA style greens make putting a challenge. The highlight coming on the 18th which plays into the Manor house.
The Crown course is a park land set up offering plenty of challenges for the most experienced of golfers. Small, manicured greens and well placed hazards make 36 points a struggle!
The club has a lot of work going on at the moment with a new Bar, Clubhouse, Reception and 18 new hotel rooms currently being built.
The courses are under renovation as well.
Definitely advise checking this one out!! - Sep 9 2011

Great course - Sandless Bunkers
Lovely course in fantastic condition. Can?t complain apart from the lack of sand in the bunkers, they are rock hard and full of stones.

good course , excellent setting
Very wet due to the constant rain, some fairways were not really playable in places, but the greens were very good, firm and true.

Great course
We played the Codrington on a very wet and windy day. The course is challenging, however rewards good play. A fair amount of water on several of the holes, but this just added to the challenge in a good way. The 1st was a bit difficult to find and I would recommend taking a course planner. The professional in the shop was helpful and very welcoming and the members we met during the round were extremely friendly and approachable. We all would love to play this course again in the sunshine! Try and wait for a discounted offer.

Good course with great views
Played for the first time on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Plenty of challenge for better golfers but not too difficult for an occasional golfer like me. There are a few drivable par 4s for long hitters like my playing partner though this does tend to cause pinch points a the preceding group has to wait for the group in front to play the entire hole before teeing off. As it was quiet this was only a minor issue. Overall a very enjoyable round on the Cromwell course.

very good course and would recommend to others. However complaint was with the bar prices that was available was very expensive and this was due to it being linked to the hotel. Not very good.

Good playable course, fairways not very consistent, but greens excellent. Some of the course's yellow and red-staked areas overgrown, but this may be deliberate?

I have played here for almost 10 years, courses are set in beautiful settings. Lovely old trees surround course, the greens have improved vastly over past month. It would appear the investment is paying off. Personally I prefer the Cromwell course for it's views and challenging holes.
