What the club says: Stunning 18 hole Golf Course designed by James Braid, which represents all that is best in a part links & pastoral course.
The front 9 holes run alongside the River Wyre with breathtaking views of the Bowland Hills, Morecambe Bay and our fabulous club while the back 9 take you down into the woodland part of the golf course with fantastic views of the local countryside and wildlife.

Knott End, great mix of links and inland
Knott End, not a course I'm familiar with but upon arriving I figured this was going to be a typical windy coastal affair. The course had some great holes, and although the greens were a little bumpy it's to expected for April. The course transitions into a bit of parkland golf for the back nine and is a welcome break from the elements on the exposed opening nine where the wind is always going to be a co start factor.Reviewer Rating

Good course but not at it's best
Played Knott End in one of there opens, Usual friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse. Disappointed to find out that still on winter tees and winter rules (mats on fairways or semi rough) especially as course was dry and tee boxes ready for use the following day. Course layout good, great views to be had. Greens a little bumpy and slow. Still an enjoyable round overall, not too hilly so nice walk round.Reviewer Rating

Nice course by the river wyre, good views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District, especially if the golf is not going well. A course of two halves not quite links by the river but parkland inland. Worth a visit.

for the time of the year and the amount of rain we have all had it was in very good condition all holes open and all greens open no temps so that is a bonus will be playing there again

Had a good day at knott Hill, weather was good and the food in the club house after was good. The course was presented OK but was tight with tees and greens being close

OK Course
Nice setting on the esturary and some interesting holes. Parts of the course a quite open and it was common to have other golfers playing different holes wandering onto our fairway, sometimes from both sides!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 97 Handicap: 22.7)

A Lancashire Secret
Short but tricky course.Great condition with views out to sea.Welcoming in pro shop and friendly in the bar.

Good course

Good Course
Always wanted to play here, heard so much about it, it was good but felt tees and green a bit too close together, Also there are several paths across the course, walkers suddenly appeared from trees without looking to see if anyone about to play, we feel there should be signage to warn them not to just stride out. Due to roadworks we had a 25 mile diversion, so arrived well late, the golf pro fitted us in for which we are gratefulReviewer Rating

Great course, great condition
Society 36 hole day out on this course. Started breezy and chilly and the course in great condition. Fairways well maintained clear of cuttings / debris. Bunkers a little light if sand in places but generally looked quite good and the three I entered played well. The greens dried out through the day and increased in speed as we progressed to the second round. The service in the clubhouse was as excellent as I've come to expect and the all day breakfast at midday was perfect. Well worth a visitReviewer Rating

Nice
Hard to say definitively as the course was frozen & on some winter tees & greens. However it looks great & in fantastic condition.A nice mix of links & parkland, giving two different challenges.
Not the longest, but when the wind is blowing it certainly makes you think.
I'll be back in the summer.

Another good round at Knott End
