Considering the amount of rain that this course has seen over the past few days, it was playing very well. I have seen a great improvement in the greens and fairways since i last played here. New green keeper is doing a great job

The Montgomery at Kinross is the more interesting of the two courses (the other being The Bruce), with a variety of dog-leg holes to test your draw and fade and some well placed bunkering to make you think before you hit. There are a few tricky split level greens to negotiate. Fairways are generous but if you enter the trees your score will suffer. Friendly pro and a good set-up for visitors. Excellent value on a day ticket with The Bruce - combined price of £24 in July.

The Bruce is a straightforward, flat course not far from Loch Leven, well laid out and in good condition (better than the rather scruffy looking car park would have you believe!) Greens were a bit on the slow side early on, for the time of year. Stay out of the trees and the hay and you should score well. Friendly pro and setup well used to accepting visitors. The other course, The Montgomery, is slightly longer and more testing but play both on an excellent value, half-price July day ticket for £24.

Lovely course to play with plenty of water feature holes. Felt the greens could have been better at this time of year and were surprise they had been spiked. Professional was helpful and the buggies come with an electronic hole by hole course map and distances to pin from different points on the hole. Not that impressed with the clubhoused fayre - meals stop at 3pm during the week.

Nice course but expected more after hearing rare reviews from friends who has played it before. I guess the moral of this story is keep an open mind about courses you are about to play and make your own mind up.

Great Experience

Had a great experience here for the day. First impressions, the guy in the pro shop was extremely friendly and helpful, exactly what you want - felt welcome right away.

Unfortunately due to an error we were double booked with some members who were playing a medal. They were very accommodating and allowed us to go ahead of them otherwise we will have been delayed for an hour or so.
The course was in fantastic condition, green were well manicured as well as the tee boxes. Some of the greens are just absolutely stunning though, honestly, pictures don’t do them justice. I can’t wait to come up again to play this course, will get some more friends up, stay at the hotel, get some golf in and then jump over to the beer garden for some drinks afterwards.

A Great Day.

Finally played Kinross (Montgomery) for the first time this year after it being recommended by various friends. It didn’t disappoint, what a brilliant golf course. The layout itself is challenging but fair, nothing too quirky or tricked up, just some really strong golf holes. It was in superb condition, in fact I’ve yet to play a course this year with greens in better shape. We got a lovely welcome from the gentleman in the Professional Shop and he was very helpful giving us some advice about the water holes. There were two other Professionals playing behind us, we chatted to them briefly and I think it says a lot that other Pro’s choose to play here on their days off. I’m looking forward to my next visit already, this time to play the Bruce course.

Better Every Time!

I’ve been playing both of these courses as a visitor for the bast part of 15 years now and I can honestly say they get better every year. We’ve just returned from another weekend staying in The Green Hotel and the golf courses are the best I have ever seen them, the greens in particular are phenomenal. The level of customer service from the Pro and his Assistant was first class, they couldn’t do enough for us. There are a few reviews on here criticising the bunkers and I would also agree that they are the weakest part of the course. It isn’t all of them, maybe about a third of them require attention but don’t let that put you off. We’re already booked up for next year and looking forward to it already.
