Fun 18 hole course
I played this course while on holiday. In general its a shortish fun course where picking the right club is essential with a few doglegs to negotiate. The course has great scenery with the estuary and the hills in the background.The tee boxes could do with a bit of work as they were patchy in places. The fairways were great, with the first cut of rough being relatively long and a good challenge. The greens rolled true, they were a bit slower than I'm used to.
The clubhouse is fairly new, clean and the bar/restaurant was good.
I would definitely play again if I'm in the area.

Back to Kenmare-after 25 years
On my first return to Kenmare after 25 years I have to say that I really enjoyed this gem of a course. The maturity of its trees and the lushness of its fairways are a joy to behold. Greens are nice and quick (in most cases) and this course ranks up there as a value for money quality old parkland course. Add it to your list of Kerry courses and you won’t be disappointed.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 101 Handicap: 23.1)
