This is a great golf course , very challenging , a classic links golf course that i am surprised is not better known. The g/fee is £40 and I was fortunate to play on the monday public day at £15, these days fantastic value but the regular fee is still good. To play grass tees and all greens in december was a real bonus and this is all year. The food after was 1st class and the staff, especially in the shop were very helpful. The only let down was the clubhouse was a little tired with poor loos and lots of old fashioned lockers, many broken and dented. I will be looking forward to my next trip to caister and will be taking a party there in the summer.

This is a hard one for me to review, although I dropped lucky going on a monday, when it £15 instead of the usual £40, had I paid £40 I would have felt extremely ripped off for this experience.
As a solo player on this occasion, I felt slightly aggreived at not being informed there was club play in progress, and as a result got caught behind SIX fours.
Maybe I have been spoiled playing the beautiful parks of Derbyshire, this was my first time on a links course, and speaking to others going round that day, it seems this is to be expected.
Challenging, Definitely. Frustrating, absolutely. Fun is hampered when one hits a great shot down the fairway only to find a lousy lie due to the terrain. (It's a Links course)
The staff, although very friendly blamed the lack of rain for the condition of the course.
Strangely the ground was good at the council Pitch and Putt over the road, which was where I spent the rest of my break brushing up on my short game.

This is quite simply the best golf course I have ever, and am ever likely to play! Granted the weather was favourable but the cousre set up was simply brilliant. Always gave you a chance but punished anything that was not accurate. Tees and greens were in superb condition and I have never seen bunkers so deep, but with good sand that left you a chance of getting out. The staff and members were fantastic and the players we met on the cousre all wanted to have a chat with us in the clubhouse. There is not enough space to describe how brilliant this place is. I will go back without a doubt. Awesome!
