Without any doubt, the best couse I have played in the UK. Outstanding welcome, course, and facilities. Given the time of the year, the course was in fantastic condition.
Was spoken to by the Captain, his wife and Vice captain during lunch. Very warm welcome.

Played on the twilight rate (£45 after 4 oclock). Its a tough layout but its a lovely place to be and a priviledge to play such a highly rated course. Not sure there could be any more bunkers on a course and they are truely penal.

I had visited the course before to watch a home international but yesterday my husband took me there to play a twilight round. It was spectacular. Such a wonderful cleverly designed course. The design really forces you to think through your shots. It certainly isnt a course where you stand on each tee and just reach for the driver. There are hundreds of very deep, very large and very carefully placed bunkers and if you can pick your way around them you can certainly put together a really nice round. If you do get in a bunker be prepared to sometimes come out sideways and backwards no matter what your level is. Some of those babies are impossible to get out forward if you are close to the face.
On the facilities front we were welcomed warmly by the staff and were offered drinks after the round by members. Very down to earth people and super friendly.
If you get the chance you must play this course. twilight rate of £45 was very good.

This is a MUST Play Golf Course, The Layout is superb, and the hazards are punishing, but you come off feeling you have played one of the bast courses in the Country. The reason I did not Give an Excellent for the Couse was simply in the Bunkers there are alot of Stones, and if you are not careful you could damage your club face. but good course management and you can shoot a good score.

This is one of the best course in the UK - some people do not prefer links type golf but that's how golf was invented and intended to be played - not American target golf - this is golf in the truest tradition on a fabulous course, well appointed club and friendly staff. Good value - you get what you pay for.

What a great course, you need to be on your A game to score well round here. Avoiding the bunkers are key, some of them you could hide a double-decker bus. I played on a windy day and it was a great test of golf. You can see why so many events have been held here over the years! Awesome experience

Think you can play your own course well, the be prepare to have your ass kicked, as I did playing this course on a windy day. No wonder it has held the likes of the Walker Cup etc and the clubhouse has passed recognisable names who have played big event there on the walls.

What an absolute privilege to play this outstanding inland links course. Great value at £60 for the day (2 rounds), great hospitality, everyone made us welcome - Millionaires golf, with firm fairways, treacherous bunkers and firm, quick greens - not half bad for the 3rd week of Feb. A must play

Not a course for the faint hearted. Keeping the ball 'In Play' is a must so high handicappers beware. It's playing a lot easier since vast areas of Gorse were removed for the Walker Cup in 2003. A warm welcome awaits you and it's well worth the Green-Fee.
