A tricky tight course in places and one you definitely need to avoid the trees with. A nice walk and a great design course, the clubhouse and shop are both excellent. Staff are very friendly and the cost of the visit is in the great value for money category. There are some challenging hills to climb so be aware for your level of fitness but a great venue to visit.

First played Farthingstone last year and was keen to get back there again.
Layout remains the same, with some challenging holes, either through distance or narrow fairways. There are also enough opportunities for 'birdies', to make your round interesting.
Ground was still a little 'boggy', in places, but the greens were in really good condition and certainly sped up as the sun got warmer.
A good challenge and I think you can play the course many times before becoming too used to the layout, or bored with the round.

Very damp under foot but played nicely. Nice reception and helpful considering being hard times.

Great track in countryside

Hidden in countryside down long winding lane, this is a parkland course with varied holes some hilly, few doglegs and every hole unique. Played in four all and throughly enjoyed challenge of it, greens needed some attention though have had lot of summer use and rains of late, worth a visit

I was a member here when young and the course has matured well over the last 2 years. The layout is good and there are some interesting holes that can be challenging. Due to its location, it feels very quiet and as though you have the course to yourself which is good.

The greens are mentioned in other reviews are patchy though this didn't affect my enjoyment and I have seen much worse. The course generally though was in good condition.

Overall an enjoyable round, very nice setting for a summer evening and good value for money.

Risebridge is getting better all the time. The club is continuing improving the tees, fairways and greens. The clubhouse is welcoming with a well stocked pro shop with helpful staff, and a good bar and restaurant. Easy to get and well worth a visit.

Challenging course

Very good golf challenge with every hole a different type of challenge. The fairways could have done with one more cut and with the numerous slopes it seemed easy to slip into the rough which was not the best to get out of. The greens were very difficult with seemingly hidden slopes making lagging puts a challenge.

Golfing weekend

Very friendly and helpful staff; nice rooms, good breakfast and evening meal; a very challenging and hilly course; would recommend hiring a buggy and take extra golf balls

Okayish

The course is beautiful and I have played it a few times before, but the course was suffering a bit after the recent weather. The tee boxes and fairways were overgrown, the greens were not very good at all, to put it kindly.

A lot of work needed to get it back to its best.
