What the club says: Farthingstone Hotel & Golf Course is enfolded deep in the most beautiful countryside in England. Both accomplished and less experienced golfers will relish the pleasures of a mature and satisfying course that abounds in challenging features. Woodland, water, naturally sweeping fairways and carefully crafted greens make for a golfing experience to remember. Tranquil and secluded, but just a few miles from both the M1 and M40. Major towns within easy reach are Milton Keynes, Banbury, Oxford, Rugby and Northampton.

Golf Course Reviews for Farthingstone Hotel Golf Club
Very good golf challenge with every hole a different type of challenge. The fairways could have done with one more cut and with the numerous slopes it seemed easy to slip into the rough which was not the best to get out of. The greens were very difficult with seemingly hidden slopes making lagging puts a challenge.

Very friendly and helpful staff; nice rooms, good breakfast and evening meal; a very challenging and hilly course; would recommend hiring a buggy and take extra golf balls
Staying at nearby Hellidon Lakes. Unable to get a reasonable tee time due to being very busy, so booked here. Really good lay out, with plenty of challenge. Course played long and the recent rain meant a lot of the fairways couldn’t get cut. However this did put us off. Would consider returning on one of their golf breaks which looks good value.
The course is beautiful and I have played it a few times before, but the course was suffering a bit after the recent weather. The tee boxes and fairways were overgrown, the greens were not very good at all, to put it kindly.
A lot of work needed to get it back to its best.
A very hilly course but with some good holes. The fairways could have done with a cut as some were pretty long but the weather has not been great up to now so could well be the reason for keeping the mowers off until it firms up a bit. Greens are OK but slow. They do have some good holes with elevated tee box's and having to carry ponds or lay up. You will get plenty of up/down hill lies as well. The pro was super friendly and helpful. Overall not bad but not the best, will visit again in the summer and see how much it changes with the fairways and greens.
AUTUMN HERE BUT COURSE STILL IN GREAT CONDITION
A great venue but need to be fit to play with many hills to traverse. Course layout is good with some tricky tee shots to find the fairway. Great hotel, well stocked shop, very welcoming staff and great quality of food. A good course to visit and enjoy.
Plenty of challenges! shame the greens arent kept well... Also bunkers had very little sand if no sand!

Great course, no 2 holes are the same.
Fairways are good, greens roll well but don't look great.
The course/clubhouse/driveway look tired but can't knock the course itself!
