Still a boggy course 5,6,7 rest of course ok greens excellent but not very testing

NOT ALL THAT!

Played with a member recently. They were embarrassed at the state of the greens. At least 3 have been ruined by chemical spillage and will have to be replaced. Overall, an ordinary course, which without the great greens described in other reviews, is not worth visiting. No food in the clubhouse and very tired overall, both course (paths, tees and fairways) and clubhouse. Didn't play all the holes because pace was slow. Looks like they let anybody on, which is understandable only charging a tenner. It costs more to play a municipal - they must realise its "not all that"! Try Worsley or Swinton first at least they have 18 decent greens. The "330 yard" driving range is about 10 yards wide with 10 inch high grass, lol.

I was a member here a few years ago and fell out with the club due to the continued closure of holes. The greens are the best around however the condition of the rest of the course is not worth the expensive membership.
A visitor price that does not warrant due to the condition many better and cheaper in the area.

Not worth visiting

Play was very slow and what made it worse they were members won't be playing it again.

Course suffers terribly in any duration of rain and as such can be a struggle to play - that\'s if its open - tried and failed a few times to play after rain and always ended up going to another nearby course instead. There are some interesting holes like the 4th and 9th, and also some uninteresting holes, like the stretch of 11/12/13/14/15th. Not a particular warm welcome from the young assistant pro, but nothing to put me off returning. Told off by members for using the wrong tee box - but the winter mat wasn't visible from the path and there were no tee markers anywhere. A few signs for visitors would help. Found out on arrival fairway mats were in use. I had one in my bag, my partner didn't, the shop was open but no staff around to buy one from by the time we realized we needed it (whilst on the first tee). Would return in Summer.

Pleasant course, only two temporary greens so greenkeepers had done a great job. Had to use mats or move to edge, which was fine, although the fairways were in good nick anyway.

Nice Course

weather was good but not knowing course, found the ditch that runs across several holes very distracting. Blind shot to a green towards end of course. Difficult to keep ball on green as it drops down ALOT!!! Final par three gets you worrying about clubhouse window.
