It is a flat track but by no means an easy track. Some testing holes. Enjoyed

This course is a lot of fun to play, increasing in interest as you go along. No blind tee shots, and not penal, it encourages you to play your best shot without fear if you don't pull it off, you will lose your ball or blow up your score. Greens are subtle and in good shape. Good fairway lies. I got around in 4 over which is about half my handicap, and loved having so many "green light" shots, and putts at birdie or par. From the US, so I really like these old school parkland courses in Yorkshire.

Greens were excellent and the course is challenging with plenty of mature trees. the 18th is quite tight off the tee and requires a straight drive a great finishing hole. Food was very good and pro shop well stocked thw course has a good practice area behind the pro shop.

Oh those trees!

Lovely course spoilt by layout. Mature trees in the middle of fairways are no test of golf. So substantial that you cannot go round them or over them. There are other ways of building hazards into golf holes. Other than that good course.

Having loved and played Easingwold at least once a year as a visitor for over 30 years I played today and whilst as always the staff and members were extremely friendly I felt the course looked unloved and scruffy compared to all my other visits . The greens were not in good condition compared to others in the area and the tee boxes and fairways looked neglected . . A shame . I will come back again later this year as always in the hope things are back to normal . Score 86 ... Handicap 14

This is a very nice old course with plenty of trees, but play it in the summer months because it does not play very well when there has been a lot of rain. Most greens slope back to front and when wet the front edges are very soft. Club house food is great.

The course appears to be in the process of a little remodelling. It was generally in good condition albeit the greens were a bit slow. The course is very flat and too many holes were similar in look and feel.An enjoyable day out but not a course to demand instant return.
