What the club says: Dorking Golf Club is a traditional parkland golf course, established in 1897 in the heart of Surrey and with its tree lined fairways and panoramic views, it makes for a great golfing venue. The Club has long been recognised as one of the centres of golf in an area rich in golf courses. This reputation has been built up over the years and it would be hard to find a friendlier club house with nine more interesting and varied holes. The course itself is 5186 yards long, but because of the undulating fairways and many attractive trees on and around it, the course is more difficult than might be imagined. It is a golf course that reminds many a player that distance off the tee is not everything as vital qualities for the golfer playing at Dorking are straightness and accuracy.

Small 9 hole parkland golf course situated not far from Dorking town centre .
Short in terms of yardage but tricky nonetheless. Greens are small and fast with well placed bunkers . Easy to run up a score with some tricky holes . Quite hilly so be warned

Challenging for beginners
Played 9holes. I'm a beginner and found the course to be a challenge. Greens were fast and some holes require you to be brave in your approach with some holes (hole 2). Thoroughly enjoyed playing here and course has some lovely views if you get any time to admire between plays. Not too busy and some good fairways to test your driving skills. A cheeky tester
I believe this course would be a challenge to any handicapper. Tucked within a small piece of land, they use the space well. It is definitely worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

King of the hill
This course is a great little challenge and brilliant views. It uses the hilly landscape to it advantage giving you a few tricky shot to make up and down hill , one minute you are above the tree line Teeing off and the next you need to chip up on to the green . the tee boxes are well kept and the fair ways are some of the best around . Once you have made it to the greens they play beautifully.Reviewer Rating

Crazy
Crazy course, different levels, holes crossing over holes and balls landing everywhere. Hilly but scenic with some nice wildlife around the edges.Personally frustrating and snapped my 9 iron.
A personal low, but priced well and for that reason I would play again.

loved it. Hilly but a lot of fun.
okay.. not sure if we'd play again as had to play both front nine and back nine twice.. just from a different position on the teebox. Not too keen on this. However, the day was fun.Played on a Sunday and found that after finishing our round at 1630, the bar was closed and couldn't enjoy a drink on the terrace. Friendly staff though.

Great course ( could do with some signage to show next hole as some holes lap over and not sure on direction of play) great friendly club. The only club that we have ever been welcomed in the car park by the club captain. Made you feel at easy straight away. Great little clubhouse

Interesting little course. 9 holes only and not much variety between most white and yellow tees though the course itself has quite a bit going on. It does cross over quite a bit though so if busy you're probably in for a slowish round. Friendly in the clubhouse and nice bbq after the round.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 84 Handicap: 12.2)

A well presented course near to Dorking town. Some tucked away tee boxes make for some interesting angles, although the visitors car park on the left of the 1st/10th is precariously placed for shanked tee shots. The fairways and greens were well maintained although the layout that criss-crosses to fit into a fairly small patch of land, means that you can be waiting for other players to clear their hole at more than one place. The bar and veranda overlooking the 9th/18th is pleasant enough. Played this course with a special offer so worked out as very good value for money, but I'm unlikely to go back as a full paying customer
