The layout was nice and the potential for this course to be very good is there, unfortunately the condition if the course is nothing short of awful. The main problems are as follows: fairways the length of the first cut of rough, both fairways and rough was completely covered in the remains of grass cutting (the worst I have ever seen), sand less bunkers (though containing a number of large stones) and finally very very slow greens. The greenkeepers are not doing a good job!
From my view, this is yet another example of the course playing 2nd fiddle to the number of other things going on with the club attachment; gym etc.
Really not happy that I spent money there, could have played a municipal course in better condition for less than half the price

Course is in good condition, unfortunately, the members play extremely slow and you can be waiting around at every single tee. It spoils the course and I can see them losing members because of it.Reviewer Rating

Well laid out
A very well laid out course. The front 9 is reasonably flat so easy walking the back 9 is very hilly. The course was very wet when we played in September and the majority of the greens were close to unplayableReviewer Rating

Positive is that all the staff we dealt with were terrific, great service
As for the course it's a bit soulless, maybe I am spoiled by living in fife and being a member of Leven which is a great course, but deer park is a bit bland.
Fairways were in good shape but the greens were very mixed, many were rather muddy and the 10th in particular was a mess and would have been better on a winter green ( still parred it tho!)

Service!!!!!!
A lovely parkland course in very decent condition. A good day out with friends slightly ruined by really poor service by staff. Unfriendly, unhelpful, slow and a bit unorganized!!! Staff members have a good look at yourselves, golfers remember who treated them well and made the extra bit of effort!!!Reviewer Rating

Course in good condition. Poor customer service
We had an outing here using the golf show vouchers. We chose to take one of the deals on the back of the card. Our organiser encountered a less than friendly welcome from the receptionist as did a couple of our players. Any request was met with huffed tones and we were made to feel like an inconvenience throughout. The food portions were laughable but were relatively ok. Out with the bar and dining experience we had a great day. Course was in good condition with generally challenging greens.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 19.3)

To be fair we have had some serious rain the past few days. Greens were still bumpy and full sand so didn't play well. I found it a long course so all round game needs to be spot on to score well.

Lovely parkland hidden gem
I have played Deer Park a number of times and it is always enjoyable. The layout is really interesting with the front nine being across flat terrain with a burn in play on a number of holes. The back nine is more hilly with some great views. The fairways were lush and the tees were well presented. The only complaint was how slow the greens were - they could have done with a cut. But at £35 a round you really can't complain. Very friendly club as well.Reviewer Rating

Scorchio day at Deer Park
Played this course in a competition from the white tees with temperatures in the mid twenties. The course was in excellent condition. For once a course where the greens on the course are similar to the practice greens. This course is very much open to outings and so can be quite busy and slow which can be a bit of a nuisance but not enough to deter from visiting again.Supported by great staff in the clubhouse , food is reasonable and beers are plenty.
