What The Club Says
The course hosts one of the hardest golf holes in South Yorkshire, "The 11th" at 439 yards with five ditches and a pond along with an elevated green in front of a wall and a tight tree lined fairway - An accurate drive is a must on this hole. The New head Green Keeper is making great strides in ensuring the course will be both challenging, fair and a pleasure to play.

Pleasantly surprised
Played here Friday, last time was about 20years ago.cant remember much about the course other than the long par 3 in the corner. Read the reviews before we came and took a gamble as the reviews were not too good. But glad we went. Yes some of the fairways are narrow, yes some of the bunkers need attending to ( better quality sand for a start?).yes some of the tee boxes and greens ( not many fringes on the greens ) are not the best. But think this is mainly to the large trees that are over taking the course. But definitely worth a visit. Played a lot worse courses for a lot more money . Clubhouse staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely play again sometime.Reviewer Rating

No customer service !!!!
Where do we start. Phone up to book, only way to speak to someone is to go to membership requires. Was told to book online. Booked online paid ?20 per player. As I checked to see how busy the course was looking we noticed the tee times around us were reduced to ?17.50. Not alot but the principle of the matter. When asked about this was told BRS run the tee booking so wouldn't be able to refund the difference. Now the round !!!!! Fairways in good condition but the greens awful. Some greens dried out and cracked and 1 green has a tree root coming through the turf of the green. Then played signature hole a tree has fallen on the way to the next tee. No way past unless you pick your trolley up and try carrying it over which I can not do. Had to walk 300 yard up the fairway, cross over the pitch crossing and walk all the way down. Not ideal. Clubhouse and prices were fine shame about the part we went for and that was the course. Won't be coming back until doncaster council sort the course !Reviewer Rating

Nic
Beautiful course in mature parkland. In great condition apart from the areas of waterlogged ground and rain hardened bunkers. Challenging but fair with some narrow fairways and receptive greens.Reviewer Rating
